JMI Admission 2024 through entrance exam; Registrations begin

JMI Admission 2024: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has commenced the registration process for the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Candidates aspiring for JMI Admission 2024 must note that admissions will be based on their performance in entrance test. Interested candidates may register online at the university website for the entrance test by March 30, 2024.

For admissions, the university will conduct the entrance exam from April 25. Meanwhile, the varsity will notify the schedule of admission test for PhD programme for the session 2024-25 separately, the university said while announcing the admission application for UG and PG programes.

Interested candidates may send in their application for registration at JMI at jmicoe.in. In an official notification, the varsity stated, a candidate is allowed to submit only one form for each programme or group of programmes (with combined entrance test). Multiple submissions of forms for the same programme by a candidate may cause rejection.

For most UG and PG programmes, the university will consider CUET, JEE and other national level test marks. The online admission forms for the courses where test will be conducted by JEE, NATA, CUET will be made available ten days from the declaration of results by respective agencies, the university said.

Admission through entrance exam

Admission of eligible candidates to all the UG and PG programmes offered by various faculties and centres of JMI will be done through merit determined on the basis of the entrance test conducted by JMI except BTech, BArch, BDS and a few other courses.

The entrance test will be followed by an interview and/or other components, and will be determined by the department associated.

Negative marking for each wrong answer

Candidates obtaining less than 30 per cent marks in the descriptive part of the entrance test, wherever applicable, will not be shortlisted for interview and admission. There will also be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the objective type or multiple choice questions in all programmes of the university.

Candidates scoring less than 15 per cent marks in the objective type or multiple choice questions will not be shortlisted for interview and admission.

NEET 2024 score for BDS admission

Admission to BDS program will be made based on merit in NEET 2024.

BTech admission based on JEE Main 2024 score

For BTech, admission is offered to eligible candidates as per merit based on the final ranks of candidates in JEE Main 2024, BArch admission will be offered to eligible candidates as per merit based on the final ranks of candidates in NATA 2024 conducted by the Council of Architecture 2024.
