SPPU exam postponed owning to Bakrid, Ashadhi Ekadashi
Pune University is also set to conduct a convocation ceremony on July 1. Maharashtra Governor and Chancellor of Universities Ramesh Bais will be the chief guest. Nearly 1,21,281 students have applied to get certificates of completion of various courses. Degrees will be conferred to the students who have won gold medals and selected PhD holders while others will be sent the certificates through post.

SPPU Exam 2023 Postponed for June 29: The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on rescheduled the examinations at its affiliated colleges that was scheduled to be held on June 29. According to SPPU’s Board of Examinations and Evaluation, the decision to reschedule the exam was taken since both Bakrid and Ashadi Ekadashi are falling on June 29.
The exam now stands postponed. The university has directed the affiliated colleges to hold the affected examinations on July 9. A circular issued by the Board of Examination and Evaluations read, “After receiving requests from some of the affiliated colleges that festivals of Bakrid and Ashadhi Ekadashi are to be celebrated on June 29, the board has decided to postpone all the examinations at the affiliated colleges in Pune, Ahmednagar and Nashik districts. These should be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023, as per the timetables of the rest of the examination.”
SPPU’s affiliated colleges commenced the examinations for the final semesters of diploma, degree and master’s courses of the academic year 2022-23 on June 6. The exams are being held in the offline mode.
