How to secure full marks in ICSE Term-1 Exam 2021?
As ICSE term-1 exams 2021 are just a few days ago, let’s have a look at some important prep tips that can help students score full marks in ICSE Term-1 MCQ papers.
Practice Sample Papers
Considering that the pattern for ICSE Term-1 Exams is new, students are advised to practice as many sample papers as possible. Practicing sample paper will not only accentuate their knowledge, familiarise them with the paper pattern but also make them understand time management. Experts recommend practicing at least one or two sample papers a day before exams to track their preparation and know more about their less prepared sections. It will also give students an idea about strengthens and weaknesses.
Read Questions Carefully
MCQs can be tricky at times. Aspirants are recommended to read the questions thoroughly to understand. Multiple choice questions are prepared in a way to puzzle students. "Reading the questions and carefully eliminating the wrong answers would help aspirants score good marks in the MCQs," says Class 10 teacher, Shruti Gupta, Devaki Memorial School, Kolkata.
Focus on Time Management
Spending too much time on a question or attempting questions in a hurry increase the chances of selecting wrong answers. Aspirants are advised to practice question papers and understand the maximum time they must invest on one question. In case s/he is not able to think of the right answer, they are advised to move further and attempt the rest of the questions. Sticking to just one question may leave students with less time to attempt the rest of the questions. Students are advised to meditate, relax and prepare a timetable to study. Prepare sections to study as targets and achieve them in the self-allotted time limit.
Revise Strengths and Practice Weakness
Students must give a thorough revision to the sections they are confident about and practice the chapters they find difficult or hard to remember, says Shamita Das, a teacher in an ICSE school, Kolkata. Das further adds that students must discuss the topics with teachers about which they feel under-confident. They must also ask teachers about the subject-wise important sections to cover. “Mugging up everything won’t help. Practice smart and revise tactics to excel in exams,” the teacher said.
Exams often make students feel stressed and underconfident no matter how much they study. Various counselors advise students to have faith in their preparation, take proper naps and breaks between study hours to score well in exams. A sane mental and physical health is proven to be important to score good marks.
