IIIT Hyderabad invites applications for PhD admissions

Eligible students can join the IIITH’s PhD programmes by qualifying through the Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGEE), which is scheduled to be held on April 16,2022.  

The International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIITH) has invited applications for admission to its PhD programmes. Students with a good academic record and interest in pursuing research can join the IIITH’s PhD programmes by qualifying through the Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGEE), which is scheduled to be held on April 16,2022. Applicants are required to pay INR 2,500 (non-refundable) fee.

• Computer Science and Engineering  
• Electronics and Communication Engineering  
• Civil Engineering  
• Bioinformatics  
• IT in Building Science  
• Computational Linguistics  
• Computational Natural Sciences  
• Spatial Informatics  
• Cognitive Science  
• Human Sciences  

Applicants need to appear for a computer-based examination conducted by IIITH. The exam will be held in multiple centres across various cities. PhD programme candidates will be shortlisted for subject interview based on a written General Aptitude Test. The decision on final offer of admission is solely based on the interview performance.  

Applicants for PhD in human sciences programme need not take the General Aptitude Test. They will be asked to submit a research statement after the application deadline. The shortlisting for the interview will be done based on their curriculum vitae (CV) and research statement. Selected PhD students will be provided a stiphend between INR 15,000 and 30,000.
