IIIT-Lucknow Placements 2022: Amazon hires BTech student at highest-ever INR 1.2 crore package
Breaking all previous records, IIIT-Lucknow Placements 2022 not only witnessed 100% recruitment for its students but also got them placed on a comparatively higher salary package.
IIIT Lucknow Placements 2022: With an annual pay package of INR 1.2 crore, Indian Institute of Information and Technology (IIIT), Lucknow, BTech (Information Technology) final year student Abhijeet Dwivedi has become the student to bag the highest ever annual pay package at the institute. Until 2021, the highest salary package for IIIT Lucknow stuents was INR 40 LPA. However, in IIIT Lucknow Placements 2022, the highest pay package has gone up to INR 1.20 crore.
Amazon Dublin hires IIIT Lucknow student at INR 1.2 crore package
Hailing from Prayagraj, Abhijeet has bagged a software development engineer job at Amazon in Dublin, Ireland. Breaking all previous records, IIIT-Lucknow Placements 2022 not only witnessed 100% recruitment for its students but also got them placed on a comparatively higher salary package. This year’s average pay package during IIIT-L placement drive stood at INR 26 lakh per annum.
61 students recruited during IIIT Lucknow Placements 2022
As many as 61 students got placed, while four students opted for higher studies. According to TOI, Talking about the overwhelming job opportunity, Abhijeet said, “One should work on certain things to land a good job. Firstly, make connections like staying in touch with seniors to know about job opportunities and taking tips from them to crack interviews, secondly having a profile on popular employment portals that keeps getting updated with new openings.”
Sharing tips for job aspirants, Abhijeet said, One should see videos on how to crack interviews in a particular field, make notes of all main and common points suggested by experts and then ensure whether one has that quality or not. If not, then start working on it without delay. “I saw several videos to prepare myself for the interview,” said Abhijeet. “Soft skills matter a lot, hence engineering graduates should not think that they just need to have technical knowledge, communication skills and body language are also equally important,” he added.
IIIT-Lucknow director Arun Mohan Sherry said, “We have improved a lot this year in placements and are at par with top engineering institutes of the country. Both the average and median pay packages offered to our students have improved immensely.”
