IISC Bangalore BTech admissions 2022 in Maths & Computing begin; Apply by Aug 31
The last date to apply for the Bachelor’s in Technology programme is August 31, as per the official information. The number of seats offered for the programme by IISC Bangalore is 52.
IISC Bangalore Admissions 2022: Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has commenced the admission application process for its BTech in Mathematics and Computing course on June 1, 2022. Candidates interested in IISC Bangalore BTech Admissions 2022 must note that admission to the newly launched undergraduate course will be based on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced scores.
The last date to apply for the Bachelor’s in Technology programme is August 31, as per the official information. The number of seats offered for the programme by IISC Bangalore is 52. General/OBC/EWS category candidates are required to deposit INR 800 as a registration fee. For SC/ST/PwD the registration fee is INR 400 and for ERP candidates it is INR 2000. The payment can be made by using debit card/ credit card/internet banking.
IISC Bangalore BTech Admissions 2022 Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for the BTech programme at IISC Bangalore, students must have cleared Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language, and any subject other than the above four.
How to apply for IISc Banglore BTEch admissions 2022?
Step 1: Go to the official website, i.e. iisc.ac.in
Step 2: On the homepage, go to the admission section and click on ‘online application’
Step 3: Click on the link that reads ‘Apply to Under-Graduate (UG) B.Tech. Programme’
Step 4: Click on apply now and fill required details such as Email ID, application number, and captcha
Step 5: Click on the application form and click on submit
Step 6: Take a printout of the application form for future reference.
About IISC Bangalore BTech Porgramme
Spread over four semesters, the BTech programme has six courses each in Mathematics and Computing areas and courses in the sciences, humanities, and other engineering disciplines.
Take additional year for MTech degree
According to the institute, after successfully completing BTech in Mathematics and Computing degree, students can also go for an MTech degree by taking an additional year and project credit.
IISC earlier informed, “The new undergraduate programme seeks to enter a niche area with the aim of producing future leaders who will be at the forefront of research, development, and innovation in futuristic disciplines and next-generation technologies that require deep use of mathematics, computer science, and data science.”
