IIT, IIM Indore admissions for Master of Science in Data Science & Management: Deadline extended

Candidates interested in the Data Science and Management programme offered by both IIM and IIT Indore must note that the last date has been extended until July 20, 2022, for DMAT Applicants, and July 30, 2022, for others.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has invited applications for jointly launched two-year online degree programme, Masters of Science in Data Science and Management. Candidates interested in the Data Science and Management programme offered by both IIM and IIT Indore must note that the institutes have already commenced the admission process for the same.

Deadline extended!

The last date to apply for Masters of Science in Data Science and Management has been extended until July 20, 2022, for DMAT Applicants, and July 30, 2022, for others. Earlier, the deadline to apply was June 10. No applications will be accepted without the application fee. The application fee for Indian Applicants is INR1770 (Including GST). The application fee would be iINR 2360/- (Including GST) for those candidates who want to appear in DMAT.

Ideally designed for graduates and working professionals comprises 900 hours of learning, i.e. 14-15 hours per week of live lecture sessions. The programme also includes 30 days of on-campus teaching. Students enrolled in the two-year online Masters of Science in Data Science and Management will be benefitted from the academic proficiency of faculty from both institutes. Candidates will gain a combination of foundational business knowledge, analytical expertise and a big-picture perspective.

According to the information provided by the institutes, the batch will commence by August 2022. Talking about the seat intake, the institute state, “Up to 200 candidates will be considered for admission to the programme (Reservation in admissions as per Government of India rules).”

Eligibility & Shortlisting Criteria

Candidates apply for IIT, IIM Indore Masters of Science in Data Science and Management must possess a First class degree (as defined by the awarding Institute/ University) or 60% or 6.0 CPI /6.0 CGPA (Scale of 10) [Relaxation for the SC/ ST/ PwD category as per Government of India rule] degree in

BTech/ BE/ BS/ BPharm/ BArch/ BDes/ Four years BSc/ MSc/ MCA/ MBA students or equivalent with having done at least two courses in Mathematics and one in Computer Programming at qualifying degree level may also apply.

CAT/GATE/GMAT/GRE/JAM test score obtained anytime in the last three years is a must. Those awaiting results of any of these five standardized tests and are yet to receive the result can also apply subject to submitting the result by July 5, 2022.

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted and called for an interview. The final selection will be based on the performance in the interview.
