IIT Patna sees 162.50% increase in job offers
The graduating batch of 2022 receives a total of 252 offers in Phase-I of campus placements. A total of 96 offers were made to students at the same time last year.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna witnessed record placements for the 2022 graduating batch in phase 1 of the annual placement season till the first week of December 2021.
Considering Covid protocols and guidelines, the entire recruitment process, including pre-placement talk, online test, group discussion, technical interviews, panel interview and HR/management discussions, was held in virtual mode.
So far, IIT Patna students have received 252 offers from various top companies of national and international repute for multiple roles. A total of 96 offers were made to students at the same time last year. This shows the institute has recorded a 162.50 per cent increase in the number of jobs offers.
The job profiles offered were software engineer, hardware engineer, application engineer, product engineer, quant analyst, data scientist, digital consultant, manager, infrastructure analyst, machine learning engineer, digital engineer, decision analyst, consulting, management trainee, GET (graduate engineer trainee), PGET, etc.
Highlights of ongoing placement season at IIT Patna
- 46 offers extended with more than 40 lakh pay package.
- 68 offers extended with more than 30 lakh pay package.
- INR 26.95 lakh average package for BTech students.
- INR 14.96 lakh average package for MTech students.
Institute receives highest domestic package of INR 61.3 LPA
The highest domestic package of INR 61.3 LPA is offered to nine students each from the firm Oracle. Other top domestic packages include Atlassian offering INR 57.4 LPA to six students, MTX offering INR 51.10 LPA to one student, Adobe India offering INR 48 LPA to nine students, Google India offering INR 46.5 LPA to 10 students for the SWE role. The highest international package offered is from Accenture Japan, offering INR 47.9 LPA to three students.
Over 78% BTech students placed
So far, more than 78 per cent of BTech and more than 40 per cent of MTech students have been placed. In BTech, the department of computer science and engineering topped in the list with 96 per cent placements followed by electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering and chemical engineering.
