IIT Roorkee selected 40 meritorious students for one-day-trip
40 meritorious school students from the Roorkee-Haridwar region were invited to the IIT Roorkee campus. The initiative is a part of a series of events organized by the institute to mark its 175th year of excellence. After already conducting three successful ‘one-day trips’ for various schools of the Roorkee-Haridwar region, IIT Roorkee conducted the fourth trip on May 24, 2022.
Since its establishment in 1847, IIT Roorkee has become an institute of national importance imparting higher education in engineering, sciences, management, architecture and planning, and humanities and social sciences.
The one-day-trip enabled students to understand and appreciate the available opportunities for them after they complete school, and the various course and career options that are there to choose from.
