Indian Navy recruitment through JEE Main scores; Apply for Cadet Entry Scheme

Selected candidates will be recruited in Permanent Commission as an officer in the technical and education branch. Check out eligibility criteria, selection process and how to apply. 

Candidates who had appeared in JEE Main 2021 and are interested in joining the Indian Armed Forces can apply for employment in the Indian Navy through Cadet Entry Scheme. This is a special recruitment drive open only for candidates having JEE Main 2021 score. The selection of candidates will be on the basis of All India Rank in JEE Main 2021. Selected candidates will undergo four year BTech course through the Indian Naval Academy and will be employed in Permanent Commission in the rank of Sub Lieutenant.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should be born between 02 Jan 2003 and 01 Jul 2005 (both dates inclusive)

• Candidates must have passed class 12 or its equivalent examinations from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM)

• Candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in English either in Class 10 or Class 12

• Candidates should have appeared for JEE Main 2021 for B.E/ B. Tech exam.

Selection Criteria

• The Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defense (Navy) will decide the JEE Main cutoff rank for shortlisting candidates.

• Shortlisting will be done on the basis of candidates rank in JEE Main All India Common Rank List (CRL) 2021 published by NTA.

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview

• Candidates who will be recommended by the Service Selection Board will undergo four years BTech program in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering as per Naval requirements at Indian Naval Academy. On completion of the course, BTech Degree will be awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

• Candidates who will complete the course will be employed in the Indian Navy as a permanent commission.

It is advised that candidates check all the instructions carefully before filling the application form and ensure they fulfil all the eligibility criteria for applying. The last date to fill the application form is February 9, 2022.
