IIT Kanpur introduces quantitative finance and risk management course

IIT Kanpur has launched an updated degree course in Quantitative Finance and Risk Management, the last date to apply is June 3, 2022 at emasters.iitk.ac.in.

The program will provide weekly access to self-paced content including recorded videos and reading material, weekend-only live interactive sessions by faculty and teaching assistants, interaction and networking with experienced professionals. 

The final module-level exams to be conducted across major cities in India and IIT Kanpur campus visit is optional to meet faculty and experience the campus.

The program offers an opportunity to work on a maximum of four projects which provide hands-on skills in Quantitative Finance and Risk Management. The program is beneficial for budding traders and finance enthusiasts who are planning to make a visible impact in the alternative investment segments.

This unique eMasters degree has right blend of theory and practice.

The course curriculum has 10 modules including big data analysis, treasury, credit risk management, economics fundamentals, and complex derivatives.

Under this course, the professionals will taught how to manage finance treasury models using cutting-edge technology. The programme also exposes students to quantitative modelling and theory through finance-specific R, Python, Machine Learning, and Blockchain modules.

Admission process

The IIT Kanpur's eMasters in Quantitative Finance and Risk Management course selection process include registration using mobile number, submitting details, remitting application fee, and uploading documents. Selection will be done on the basis of application review, selection test and interview.
