IIT Kanpur invites applications for online certificate course on Python programming

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) has invited applications for Python Programming online certificate course. Although the course is being offered free of cost, all those who are interested in acquiring a certificate for the course can do so by paying a nominal fee and taking an online examination. Aspirants can enrol for the course through the official IIT Kanpur website.

Students who are pursuing graduation or post-graduation in computer science or information technology and teachers can apply for the Python programming course.
The course by IIT Kanpur will cover major aspects of the subject. Designed by Professor Amey Karkare, faculty of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, the course will ensure that it gives an understanding of Python to the takers, while assuming that they do not have any prior programming knowledge and experience.

The course will be covered over 8 online lectures, which can be viewed as per the takers’ convenience. The access to the course can be extended 3 times at a month and for up to 4 times, but for that the takers would be required to send an email.

The syllabus of the course includes source code files for hands-on practice. The course will be updated regularly to meet the latest demands of the industry, as per information on the official IIT Kanpur website.
