Jadavpur University Admissions 2022 to be conducted via MCQ-based entry tests
Admissions to the geological sciences department will be conducted based on Plus-II board marks.
Jadavpur University Admissions 2022: Students seeking admission to Jadavpur University in the undergraduate programme under the science faculty must note that the varsity has decided to screen applicants for UG courses in the science faculty through multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
According to the Telegraph, considering that publishing of results becomes quite time-consuming and come in the way of publishing results on time with short answer-type questions, an official of the university said the admissions committee of the science faculty struck down the idea of screening candidates on short answer-type questions as the assessment of scripts takes time.

“Evaluating short answer-type of questions of so many candidates would be a challenge...Owing to logistical constraints, we have settled for MCQs,” he said.
Equal weightage to admission tests and Plus-II board marks
Students’ performance to the screening test would matter a lot for admission. The committee accepted the proposals of these four departments to screen students by awarding equal weightage to admission tests and Plus-II board marks.
