JoSAA 2022 Counselling started: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has started the registration and choice filling process for JoSAA Counselling 2022 today, September 12, 2022. Candidates who desired to participate in the JoSAA counselling 2022 can access the link for JoSAA 2022 registration and choice filling online on the official website of the conducting authority at josaa.nic.in. The last date to complete the JoSAA 2022 Counselling registration and choice filling is September 21, 2022.

Earlier, Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) announced the schedule related to JoSAA counselling 2022 events. Through JoSAA Counselling 2022, candidates will be granted admission to various BTech programmes at 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 26 IIITs, IIEST Shibpur and 33 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). However, according to officials, this year, NIT Rourkela will conduct centralised seat allocation for NITs, IIEST, IIITs and the School of Planning and Architecture. The institute will also co-host the Joint Seat Allocation Authority, which will conduct a total of six rounds of seat allocation. JoSAA 2022 Counselling Registration Eligibility

Before proceeding to fill the registration and choice filling form of JoSAA 2022 counselling, candidates need to ensure they are fulfilling the given criteria:

• Candidates who have qualified JEE Main 2022 can apply for the JoSAA 2022 seat allocation round
• Candidates who have qualified JEE Advanced 2022 will be eligible for JoSAA 2022 counselling. Such candidates will also be eligible for admission to IITs.
• Candidates need to secure at least 75% in Class 12 class or must be in the top 20 percentile. For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the qualifying percentage is 65%. (For admission into IITs).

Steps to register for JoSAA 2022 Counselling?

To complete JoSAA counselling 2022 registration and choice filling, the candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps:

Step-1: Visit the official website of conducting authority at josaa.nic.in.

Step-2: On the homepage, search for the link that reads "JoSAA Counselling Registration" and click on it.

Step-3: A new window will be displayed on the screen, candidates will be required to enter their JEE Main 2022/JEE Advanced 2022 application number and password and click on the submit option given there.

Step-4: After filling in the required details, a new window will appear on the screen that will comprise all the details of the candidate (as same as provided in JEE Main/JEE Advanced). Candidates need to cross-check all the details carefully and verify them. However, the candidates will only be allowed to change their contact detail during this step. After verifying the detail, the applicants need to click on the "Submit" button.

Step-5: Upon completion of the registration, candidates will be able to check the available choices of engineering streams and institutions (based on their rank). As per the availability of seats and institutes, applicants must choose the BTech programmes and institutes in order of their preferences.

Step-6: In the end, the candidates must not forget to lock their choices as it is an important step in the process of the JoSAA 2022 seat allotment process.

• Date of Birth Proof (10th Standard Mark Sheet)
