JU Placements 2022: Engineering student bags INR 1.8 Crore job at Facebook
Bisakh Mondal, a fourth-year student of computer science, from Kolkata’s top-ranked Jadavpur University has bagged a job with a whopping annual pay package of INR 1.8 crore.

Bisakh Mondal, a fourth-year student of computer science, from Kolkata’s top-ranked Jadavpur University has bagged a job with a whopping annual pay package of INR 1.8 crore. Mondal has accepted the job with the highest pay package this year.
Hailing from a modest family background from Rampurhat, Birbhum, Bisakh Mondal is a son of a farmer. His mother is an Anganwadi worker. Mondal has made his parents proud by bagging such an offer that is a dream job of every other computer engineer.
Bisakh will join his workplace in London in September. While expressing his happiness and interview experiences, Bisakh Mondal told India Today, “I will join Facebook in September. Before accepting this job, I got offers from Google and Amazon. I thought choosing Facebook would be best as the pay package offered by them was high."
"Naturally, my parents are very happy," he added.
The student has received tons of wishes from his college professors. Professors of JU are overwhelmed by the success of their student. Bishak said, “My professors are really happy. I also spoke to them personally and met some of them after I bagged the job offer."
Previously, nine students of Jadavpur University from various engineering departments had secured overseas jobs with pay packages exceeding INR 1 crore, sources said.
Bishak said he is planning to fly to London very soon. All preparations are underway.
