AIBE 2023: 98.7% candidates took the exam, double than AIBE XVI, Revised Answer Key to be out soon

AIBE 17 was held on February 5, 2023, and a total of 1,71,402 took the examination. Now, BCI will release a revise answer key before declaring results. Read here to know more.

The All India Bar Examination has been conducted, and now candidates are awaiting a revised answer key and results. The Bar Council of India has released an answer key for AIBE 17 on the day of examination, however, it was reported to be incorrect and mismatched with other sets. An update on the revised answer key or result declaration is yet to be provided from the exam authority. Many candidates also reported issues regarding biometric attendance and OMR sheet details via emaila and calls on helpdesk. The exam authority has assured candidates to not worry about these formalities as these will be rectified before the declaration of AIBE 17 results. 

On February 6, 2023, the exam authority shared a press release sharing highlights of the exam day. Read the details of press release below:

"The Bar Council of India successfully conducted the All India Bar Examination XVII today i.e. on 05.02.2023 by paper and pen mode across 53 cities and 261 centers with technology enabled monitoring and confidentiality processes to ensure no impersonation and fair exam practice. The candidates had the option to attempt the exam in English, Hindi and 21 regional languages.

1,73,586 Advocates, had registered for the All India Bar Exam XVII, while 1,71,402 candidates appeared for the examination. Thus 98.7% successfully appeared in this examination. This is almost double to the count of Advocates/ candidates who had appeared for the last AIBE. A total of 9,254- Invigilators, 261 Center Superintendents, 261 Assistant Centre Superintendents, 261 Centre In-Charge, 1846, Exam Co-ordinators, 53 District Managers, 10 Divisional Heads, 5 Agency Heads, 183 vehicles, and 130 route managers and a total of 12,447 plus other man power was deployed for the exam.

Each centre was monitored by CCTV and the coverage was telecasted live in the monitoring room Command Centre set up by BCI. Biometric attendance of candidates were also taken as an additional measure wherever possible though verification was first ensured by way of taking signature of each candidate while giving the examination.

The examination was conducted meticulously and efficiently in most well planned and organized manner. There was no incident of usage of illegal means/cheating was reported at any of the exam centers and the exam was held in a most successful manner at all centers throughout India."
