Candidates can download the CLAT result 2024 by visiting https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2024/view-result.html. They need to use their CLAT 2024 application number / Admit card number and Date of birth as login credentials.

The Consortium of NLUs released the CLAT 2024 Result on December 10, 2023. The CLAT exam was held on December 3, 2023. The result was declared in the evening, around 7.30 PM. While initially there was speculations of the result releasing time to be in the morning hours, but the Consortium of NLUs declared it in the evening hours. 

AILET counselling 2024 will tentatively start in January 2024. The counselling will be conducted in online mode. During the counselling process, candidates' documents will be verified and they will have to pay the admission fee.

1. Advocate

Advocates are legal professionals who represent clients in court. They provide legal advice, draft legal documents, and argue cases in court. To become an advocate, first you will have to enroll in a State Bar Council, then appear in the All India Bar Examination (AIBE).

After appearing in AIBE, you will have to obtain a Certificate of Practice (COP) to become a professional advocate. Legal advisor: Legal advisors provide legal advice to individuals and organizations. They may work in a variety of settings, such as law firms, corporations, or government agencies.

2. Legal researcher

Legal researchers conduct research on legal issues and prepare legal documents. They may work for law firms, corporations, or government agencies.

To become a successful legal researcher, you will have to take the PhD in Law course after an LLM programme. However, if you want to go one step ahead and achieve mastery in legal research, you will have to earn and LLD degree.

3. Public prosecutor

Public prosecutors are responsible for prosecuting criminal cases on behalf of the government. They investigate crimes, prepare cases for trial, and present evidence in court. You need a specialisation Criminal Law to become a public proceutors. 

4. Judge

Judges preside over court proceedings and make decisions on legal matters. They must have a strong understanding of the law and be able to apply it to the facts of the case.

It is mandatory to take a State Judiciary Exam in India to become a judge in the country.

Once you register for the AILET 2024 counselling and your name appears in the AILET 2024 merit list, you will have to pay the AILET admission fee or balance fee 2024 as per the NLU Delhi fee structure 2024. The results of the AILET 2023 exam will be used to shortlist candidates for AILET 2024 counseling.  The names of shortlisted candidates will be published in the form of Counseling Invite Lists. THREE times the number of available seats in each category.

1. If two or more candidates get the same marks, their merit will be determined on the basis of higher marks in the logical reasoning section.
2. If the tie persists, then the candidate senior in age will be given preference.
3. If the tie is still undecided at this stage, then the merit rank will be decided by the computerized draw of lots.

AILET counselling starts with the release of counselling registration, after which AILET invite lists and merit lists are released. During the AILET 2024 counselling process, first candidates will have to register for counselling, upload their education documents and ID proofs, and then pay the AILET 2024 admission fee / balance fee.

2. Increased Time Limit:

Previous: The AILET 2023 exam duration was 90 minutes.

Current: The AILET 2024 exam duration has been increased to 120 minutes.

3. Increased Number of Questions:

Previous: The AILET 2023 exam had a total of 150 questions (30 each in English, Current Affairs & General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, and 60 in Mathematics).

Current: The AILET 2024 exam has a total of 150 questions (50 each in English and Current Affairs & General Knowledge, and 50 in Legal Reasoning).

4. Descriptive Questions Removed for LLM:

Previous: The AILET 2023 LLM exam had two sections: one with objective-type questions and the other with descriptive questions.

Current: The AILET 2024 LLM exam has only one section with objective-type questions. The descriptive section has been removed.

AILET 2024 will be conducted on December 10, 2023 in an offline mode (pen and paper-based mode). The exam timing for AILET will be from 11 AM to 1 PM. Candidates need to note that the deadline to reach the AILET 2024 exam centre is 10:30 AM. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre after 10:30 AM on the exam day. 

No, you cannot show your AILET 2024 admit card on your mobile phone at the test centre, as a soft copy of the admit card is not allowed at the test centre. Only a printed copy of your admissions card will be accepted. Therefore, it's crucial to print out at least two copies of your AILET 2024 admit card and carry them safely to the exam centre. If you lose one copy of your admission, you will still have another copy as a backup.

The following items can be carried to the AILET 2024 exam centre: 

• Blue and black ball point pen
• AILET 2024 admit card
• Any valid photo ID proof, such as Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card or Passport
• 3-4 Passport-size photos
• Water in a transparent bottle

The timing for the AILET 2024 exam is from 11 AM to 1 PM for BA LLB, LLM and PhD entrance exam.
