According to CLAT 2021 official dates, the last date to submit the CLAT 2021 application online is March 31. Application Fee will be Rs. 4000/- [Rs. 3500/- for SC/ST/BPL candidates].

CLAT 2021: Consortium of National Law Universities is all set to conduct the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), a national level entrance exam for admissions to Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) Law programmes in offline mode from 2 pm to 4 pm, on June 13, 2021 (Sunday). The examination is held for admissions to various UG and PG law courses offered by approximately 22 National Law Universities located at Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Raipur, Gandhinagar, Lucknow, Patiala, Patna, Kochi, Cuttack, Ranchi, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, Tiruchirappalli, Mumbai, Nagpur, Shimla, Aurangabad, Jabalpur and Haryana. Candidates must note that this year, i.e. for CLAT 2021 there is no upper age limit for admission to the UG/PG Programme. Candidates interested to pursue law programmes are advised to go through the eligibility criteria to avoid any hindrance during the admission process. According to CLAT 2021 official dates, the last date to submit CLAT 2021 application online is March 31. Application Fee will be Rs. 4000/- [Rs. 3500/- for SC/ST/BPL candidates].

In order to take admission UG law programmes (Five Year Integrated Law Degree - BA/BSc/BCom/BBA/BSW LLB), applicants must have a 10+2 passing certificate or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% or its equivalent grade (40% marks or equivalent for those of SC/ST categories). For admission to PG programmes (One Year LLM Degree), applicant should have an LLB Degree/equivalent with a minimum of 50% or its equivalent grade (45% or its equivalent grade for those of SC/ST categories). Different specializations are available in different National Law Universities.

Candidates aspiring to appear for CLAT 2021 must note that UG-CLAT 2021 will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each from (i) English Language (ii) Current Affairs, including General Knowledge (iii) Legal Reasoning (iv) Logical Reasoning and (v) Quantitative Techniques. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted.

Meanwhile, there will be two sections in PG-CLAT 2021. The first section would include 100 objective-type questions carrying 1 mark each. There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. The second section would require candidates to write 2 descriptive essays of 800 words per essay, each carrying 25 marks, on the topics of law and contemporary issues. Candidates who secure 40% (35% in case of SC, ST, and PWD) marks in the objective section will qualify for the evaluation of their answers in the descriptive section.
