CLAT 2023: NLSIU Bengaluru increases seat intake for BA LLB, LLM courses

While the total seat intake for the BA LLB course has been increased from 180 to 240, whereas that for the LLM programme has been increased from 75 to 100.  

The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bengaluru has increased the seat intake for five-year BA LLB and one-year LLM courses. While the total seat intake for the BA LLB course has been increased from 180 to 240, whereas that for the LLM programme has been increased from 75 to 100.  

In 2021, the university had increased the BA LLB seats from 120 to 180 and LLM seats from 50 to 75. The university admits students to both BA LLB and LLM programmes through Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), which is scheduled to be held on December 18, 2022, in offline mode. The Supreme Court had recently directed the Consortium of National Law Universities to ensure that no disabled student is denied access to appear for CLAT. 

NLSIU reserves 25% seats for Karntaka students

NLSIU Bengaluru has reserved 25 per cent of its total seats for candidates domiciled in Karnataka. Therefore, 60 BA LLB seats and 25 LLM seats will be offered under the domicile category.  

CLAT 2023 will be held in a pen-paper mode from 2 pm to 4 pm. The exam authority, CLAT consortium, has arranged more than 130 test centres in 25 states of India. More than 50,000 candidates are expected to appear for CLAT 2023 UG exam, while over 15,000 students are likely to take CLAT 2023 PG exam.
