CLAT 2023 is being held on December 18, 2022, from 2 pm to 4 pm. Candidates appearing for the exam must go through important instructions for the exam day, in order to perform well in CLAT 2023. Check here exam day checklist for CLAT 2023. 

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2023 will be held on December 18, 2022 as scheduled. The exam will be held in 127 test cities in 22 states and 2 UTs as informed by the latest notification. Candidates have to reach at least an hour before the exam timings, which is 2 pm to 4 pm. The reporting will begin from 12:30 onwards, and the last entry allowed will be 2:15 pm. 

The official notification released in this regard stated, "The Consortium of National Law Universities will conduct the Common Law Admission Test (“CLAT”) 2023 for admissions to the five-year integrated Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes on Sunday, December 18th 2022, from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. The test will be conducted at 127 Test Centres in 23 States and 2 Union Territories across India. The Consortium has taken all necessary steps to ensure a safe and secure test environment for all candidates, staff and faculty."

Candidates should read the exam day:

  • Download CLAT admit card 2023 and get printouts 
  • Keep a valid and original photo ID proof such as Aadhar Card, Driver License, Passport, Voter ID, etc. ready to carry on the exam day
  • Carry a self-attested photograph 
  • Carry Disability certificate and Letter of Scribe as availed in case of PWD/ SAP category 
  • Carry your own Blue/black ball-point pen, and an HB pencil 
  • Carry your own Transparent water bottle
  • Carry Face masks, gloves, sanitiser
