CLAT 2024 Registration: CLAT 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on December 3, 2023. The Consortium of NLUs began the registration for Common Law Admission Test 2024 on July 1, 2023. Both CLAT UG and CLAT PG will be held on the same day. The last date to register for CLAT 2024 is November 3, 2023. However, with several students requesting the consortium to extend the deadline to submit CLAT Application Form 2024, it is expected to be pushed further.

Candidates must also attempt CLAT 2024 sample papers released by Shiksha. The Consortium has earlier announced the change in CLAT 2024 pattern. It has reduced the number of questions in the CLAT UG paper from 150 to 120 in order to make the exam more student-friendly. The CLAT syllabus 2024 and exam pattern remain unchanged except for the reduced number of questions.
CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2024
Candidates are advised to check the CLAT 2024 eligibility criteria before filling the CLAT 2024 Application Form.
CLAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Candidates appearing for CLAT UG 2024 can check the eligibility below:
- Candidates must secure the following minimum percentage of marks in their qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination):
- Forty five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories
- Forty Percent (40%) marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
- Candidates who may be appearing for their qualifying examination in March/ April, 2023 are also eligible to appear for the CLAT 2023 examination. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission"
CLAT 2024 Registration Fee
No application will be accepted without CLAT 2024 Registration fee. Candidates from the general category are required to pay a registration fee of INR 4,000 for completing the application form. The registration fee for the SC, ST and Below Poverty Line (BPL) candidates is INR 3,500. In addition to this, candidates are required to pay INR 500 for question papers.
How to fill CLAT 2024 Application Form 2024?
Filling and submitting the CLAT 2024 application form before the CLAT 2024 registration last date is important to appear for the law entrance exam. Candidates who have not submitted the application forms of CLAT 2024 must do so following the steps given below:
- Registration- The candidate can register by entering their name, mobile number, and email id. Also, select and confirm a password for the newly created applicant account.
- Login- Log in to access the application form.
- Select the program of study- After logging in, the first thing is to select the program of study 5-year LLB or one-year LLB
- Fill the form- There will be different fields like personal information, communication details, qualifying examination status, exam centre preferences (THREE centres can be selected in the order of preference), and reservation. All fields need to be filled.
- Submit the form- Once the details are duly filled, agree to the declaration, give consent and submit the form.
- Pay the application fee- In the last step, pay the application fee (which is category-specific) in online mode using credit or debit cards, or net banking. Note that in addition to the exam fee, candidates will have to pay an additional INR 500 if they want to opt for previous years' question papers.
