No, there will not be a second CLAT exam in 2025. Since the 2022 edition, the CLAT exam has been shifted from May to December to avoid conflicts with board exams and will now be conducted only once a year.

Candidates may apply for CLAT 2025 if they have passed the 10+2 exam or an equivalent exam from an accredited board with a minimum proportion of marks as determined by the participating universities. The CLAT PG 2025 registration process has begun. Candidates can apply for CLAT LLM 2025 by visiting the official website; i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

The CLAT requires a postgraduate degree, namely an LL.M. programme lasting one year.
Education Requirement: An LL.B. degree or passing an equivalent test with at least 50 per cent of the marks or the equivalent grade, or 45 per cent of the marks or the equivalent grade for applicants who fall under the SC, ST, or PwD categories. Applicants may also appear if they will be taking the qualifying exam in April or May of 2025.

Candidates must receive at least a 50% in their LLB undergraduate degree from the general, OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO, and OCI categories. SC/SC candidates are required to obtain a minimum of 45% in their LLB.

The CLAT 2025 website consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2025.html has crashed. The reason for CNLU website not working is still unknown.The CLAT Registration 2025 is set to begin from today and it is expected that the website will start working soon.

The CLAT application form can be finished in phases. Applicants can use the 'Save' option at any point to save their completed CLAT application form. If candidates decide to leave and complete the application at a later time, they simply need to log back in and resume where they left off. The CLAT application process will be concluded for candidates upon receipt of the application fee and form submission. For as long as the window is available, candidates may also re-login and amend their data on the CLAT application form.

The Consortium of NLUs released the notification for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 on July 7. Check the detailed notification below:

The Consortium of NLUs allows candidates to select their preferred NLUs while filling out the CLAT 2025 application form. Candidates should be very careful when selecting their NLUs, as admission will be granted based on these preferences. Please note that no requests to edit or change NLU preferences will be accepted after the last date to submit CLAT Application Form 2025; i.e. October 15. 

Candidates can follow the simple steps given below to complete the CLAT Registration 2025:

1. Visit the official CLAT 2025 website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
2. Click on CLAT 2025 to access the login portal, where all CLAT 2025 notifications are published.
3. Register using your email ID and mobile number. Keep these active throughout the admission process for national law universities.
4. Your email ID and mobile number will be used for all communications and grievance submissions in later stages. Additionally, candidates will be informed about their CLAT results and eligibility for counseling through their registered CLAT ID and password.

For CLAT 2024, the exam pattern was revised. According to the updated CLAT Exam Pattern 2024, the total number of questions in CLAT UG was reduced from 150 to 120. So, it is unlikely that the exam pattern for CLAT 2025 will be revised.

The CLAT 2025 syllabus comprises five sections: English Language, Legal Reasoning, Current Affairs including General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques. The Consortium of NLUs, which prescribes the syllabus, administers one of the toughest law entrance exams in the country. The detailed syllabus for CLAT 2025 will be released soon along with the CLAT 2025 Notification. However, it is expected to remain consistent with the previous year's syllabus.

3. Navigate to and click on "New Registration."
4. Complete the registration form with details such as contact number, email ID, and name, then submit.

The CLAT 2025 counseling process will be conducted online at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The exam authority publishes the merit list for all participating National Law Universities (NLUs) based on the reservation criteria of their respective state/UT governments. Candidates can check the CLAT 2025 reservation policy eligibility for admission to NLUs here. Recently, Gandhinagar National Law University (GNLU), Silvassa, has added a domicile reservation category. The reservation criteria and seat intake vary for each participating NLU.

The Consortium of NLUs will provide a facility for updating test centre preferences. To update their categories and test centres, candidates should follow these steps:

1. Visit the CLAT 2025 correction window link at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
2. Click on the application correction link.
3. Log in using your mobile number and password.
4. Click on the "Edit Application" button.
5. Go to the 'Category and Seat Reservation' section for NLU preferences, and the 'Personal Details' tab for OBC category status (Non-Creamy Layer or Creamy Layer).
6. Make the required changes and click the "Next" button.
7. Check the declaration checkbox and click "Save" to submit the changes.

Candidates should note that starting this year, they must provide their NLU preferences while submitting the CLAT 2025 application form. Preferences cannot be changed or updated after the last date. Aspirants should select their preferences carefully, as the consortium will only consider the NLUs in the preference list.

Candidates appearing for the CLAT 2025 exam should note that this entrance exam has no age limit.

Candidates applying for CLAT UG 2025 must provide the following information:

- Qualifying exam name
- Name of the board or university
- Passing status: Appearing, Appeared, or Passed

Candidates appearing for CLAT UG 2025 can check the eligibility criteria below:

• Candidates must have secured the following minimum percentage of marks in their qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination):
    - Forty-five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade for candidates belonging to General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories.
    - Forty percent (40%) marks or its equivalent grade for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
• Candidates who are appearing for their qualifying examination in March/April 2023 are also eligible to appear for the CLAT 2025 examination. However, they must produce evidence of passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they will forfeit their right to be considered for admission.
