NALSAR's team attends NLUD's Allen & Overy’s International Finance and Corporate Course

NALSAR University of Law has said that its students including Anushka Borkar, Darshil Sakhia, Lokesh Soni, Manav Ganapathy, Naman Kumar, Pranjal Alishan, Tejaswi Patil and Sanvi Bhatia (Batch of 2025) attended the Allen & Overy’s International Finance and Corporate Course held at National Law University Delhi recently.

NALSAR University of Law's team was selected to attend Allen & Overy’s International Finance and Corporate Course offered at National Law University Delhi from April 13-15, 2023.

NALSAR's tweet read, "We are delighted to announce that Anushka Borkar, Darshil Sakhia, Lokesh Soni, Manav Ganapathy, Naman Kumar, Pranjal Alishan, Tejaswi Patil and Sanvi Bhatia (Batch of 2025) were selected to attend the 13th Allen & Overy’s International Finance and Corporate Course (IFCC). The course was held at NLU, Delhi from 13th April 2023 to 15th April 2023."

The course was attended by a total of 49 students, out of which 25 students were from NLU Delhi and the remaining students represented India’s top National Law Universities; National Law School of India University (02), The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (9), National Law University Jodhpur (11) and The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (02).

NLUD's Allen & Overy’s International Finance and Corporate Course Details

The IFCC included lectures, case studies and practical exercises on significant areas of finance & corporate law, including modules on corporate restructuring & insolvency, legal tech & innovation, debt capital markets, mergers & acquisitions, arbitration, joint ventures etc.

The sessions over the three-day course were conducted by senior partners, lawyers and associates from Allen & Overy namely Gautam Narasimhan (Joint Managing Partner, Singapore), William Pickersgill (Counsel, Singapore), Rishi Hindocha (Counsel, Singapore), Scott Lovell (Partner, Singapore), Pallavi Gopinath Aney, Partner and Joint Chair, A&O India Group (Singapore), Harsh Pais, Partner (London), Dhruv Velloor (Associate, Singapore), Serena Upadhyay (Senior Associate, Singapore), Arun Mal (Senior Associate, London), Brenna Speiser, Fuse Senior Manager (London), Adarsh Chhabria (Senior Associate, London).

NLU Delhi’s coordinator for the course, Dr Aparajita Bhatt, Assistant Professor, NLU Delhi said, “By virtue of our being the host institution, almost half of the students that made up the IFCC 2023 batch consisted of NLU Delhi students, which is a great opportunity for them. Allen & Overy is one of the leading international law firms and the IFCC gives the students a chance to learn directly from A&O lawyers, partners & associates. It also adds value to their profile and some students also go ahead to secure internship & job offers from A&O in the future, thus courses like these assume considerable importance.”
