NALSAR University of Law has said that its team has won the Allen & Overy-NLU Jodhpur International Deal Negotiation Competition 2023.
NALSAR's official tweet reads, "We are proud to announce that NALSAR's team, comprising of Naman Kumar and Jaskaran Singh (Batch of 2025), has emerged as Winners of the Allen & Overy-NLU Jodhpur International Deal Negotiation Competition 2023 held between 10-12th March at NLU, Jodhpur."
"Negotiation is increasingly being seen as a potentially powerful tool of law, in the modern day. Negotiation has as much to do with culture, values, trust and adaptability as it has to do with the law itself. Not only is the process of negotiation driven by the intricacies of a commercial situation, but also a complete picture cannot be drawn by isolating the cultural influences on the parties and their interests," stated the official website of Allen & Overy-NLU Jodhpur International Deal Negotiation Competition 2023.
The competition provided students with a platform to hone their problem-solving skills in a unique commercial set-up by interacting with people from all over the world in a culturally diverse environment.
NALSAR recently held the 14th Gutta Sri Rama Rao Memorial Lecture. NALSAR tweeted, "We had the august presence of Professor B. B. Pande, Former Professor, University of Delhi, who delivered the lecture on "The Churn Within the Rule of Law Regime" in the presence of Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Professor (Dr) Sri Krishna Deva Rao, Hon'ble Registrar Professor (Dr) K. Vidyullatha Reddy, students, advocates, and faculty. Holding that "our present discourse on re-imagination of the rule of law is limited to contemporary context and does not have authentic research and writing", Professor Pande exhorted the students of law to understand better, reason comprehensively and defend committedly the cherished inheritance of rule of law and the constitutional idea of India."
