NALSAR team wins India Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, 2023

A team of NALSAR has won India rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, 2023. The Competition is presented annually by the International Law Students Association (ILSA). Another team of the university has also recently won the 18th ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition. Read here for more details.

The five-member team of NALSAR comprising Harsh Jain, Khushi Mittal, Abinand Lagisetti, Eeshan Sonak and Mahira Gupta with Amishi Agarwal and Pranay Maladi as their coaches emerged as the Winners of the India Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, 2023. They will be advancing to the world rounds, scheduled to be held in Washington DC from March 8 onwards.

The Competition is presented annually by the International Law Students Association (ILSA) and is administered by the Executive Director. The Competition consists of two levels: (1) Qualifying Rounds, and (2) the International Rounds. Qualifying Rounds are held in each Jurisdiction where more than one Team participates in the competition. The international rounds represent the final level of the competition.

Also, Hamza Jawed Khan, Masad Khan, and Anoushka Mukherjee of the first year LLB program won the XII ILNU Anti Trust Moot Court Competition 2023 organized by ILNU Ahmedabad. Hamza has been awarded the Best Speaker.

Recently, another team comprising Shravani Shendye, Swathi Reshmitha Kathi, Mehreen Mander, and Arjun Nayyar won the 18th ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition. The team is the first Indian team to have won the prestigious tournament and the team has also expressed their gratitude to coach Jawad A.J.
