WBNUJS: Admissions open for 5 year BSc LLB (Hons) with specialisation in criminology and forensic sciences

Admission to the WBNUJS 5-year BSc LLB (Hons) with specialisation in criminology and forensic sciences will be solely based on the performance in the CLAT 2023.

West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences has invited applications for the 5 year integrated BSc LLB (Hons) with a specialisation in criminology and forensic sciences. This course has been designed to develop the skill and expertise of students to make them practice-ready in Criminal Courts and Criminal Justice Administration, including Correctional Homes.

The last date to submit the application is June 26, 2023. The application form may be downloaded from the official website - www.nujs.edu.

The admission will be solely on the basis of performance in the undergraduate Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2023 conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities in December 2022.

"All aspirants must apply with clear evidence of their scores and rank as secured in the CLAT 2023. The final selection will be made solely based on said score and rank. If the scores obtained by two applicants in the CLAT 2023 are identical then their ranks as awarded in the CLAT 2023 will be used for tie-breaking i.e. the preference will be given to those applicants who have studied the Science Stream in their 11th and 12th standard in school (with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Statistics/Biology). However, even those applicants have had to furnish evidence of CLAT scores and ranks," reads the official notification.

The course is being supported by Central Forensic Science Laboratory Kolkata and the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research, Kolkata, in teaching and laboratory practices.
