BCI will be releasing AIBE 17 notification anytime soon. Here are some latest information for AIBE exam events for the upcoming session.
As the final year law university examinations are over, the students are preparing for the next step that allows them to practice law in India i.e. All India Bar Examination. Moreover, candidates who could not qualify AIBE XVI are awaiting for the AIBE 2022 notification, so they can apply again to qualify the examination. The bar examination in India - AIBE is mandatory for all law graduates to qualify and obtain a Certificate of Practice, which allows them to practice law. Here is the latest information on AIBE 2022 exam notification, dates, application, pattern, and eligibility criteria.
AIBE 17 notification 2022: The Bar Council of India will publish AIBE notification 2022 anytime soon. Generally, AIBE notification is published in March or April every year. However, it has been delayed due to unspecified reasons this year. BCI has not updated the cause of delay in AIBE 17 notification on its official website. However, candidates are advised to keep checking the AIBE website - https://aibe15.allindiabarexamination.com/. The latest AIBE notification released on the website was regarding Certificate of Practice for AIBE 16 (2021) as released on March 31.
AIBE 17 Registration 2022: The online registration and application form of AIBE 17 will be available in May or June as and when AIBE notification is released. Candidates should have enrolled with their respective state bar council as provisional advocates in order to obtain enrollment number. Candidates must have this enrollment number to apply for AIBE 17.
AIBE 17 Exam Date 2022: The exam date of AIBE 17 is expected to be announced soon. If the AIBE notification 2022 is released in May or June, then the AIBE 17 exam date will be scheduled for August or September month. Generally, the AIBE exam date is scheduled within the next three months of exam notification. Candidates should keep a track of latest events regarding AIBE 17 exam date on the official website’s notification bar.
AIBE 17 Eligibility Criteria 2022: This year, there might be slight changes in the AIBE eligibility criteria 2022, as the Supreme Court of India has directed BCI to include candidates from ‘other’ professions. Such candidates may be allowed to enroll with state bar councils on a provisional basis to appear for AIBE 17. So far, AIBE 17 eligibility criteria 2022 is as under:
- Candidates who have completed their graduation with a law degree at any level are eligible to apply for AIBE 17.
- Those who are enrolled with state bar councils and hold an enrolment number are eligible to apply for AIBE 17.
AIBE 17 Exam Pattern 2022: The Bar Council of India may modify the AIBE 17 exam pattern 2022 in order to increase the testing level of the examination. In 2021, candidates were not allowed to carry any books or reference material for AIBE except for Bare Act without comments. However, candidates may not be allowed to even carry Bare Acts from AIBE 2022 onwards. Besides, the exam authority is planning to introduce a negative marking scheme for AIBE 17.
