Madurai MP writes to Union Health Minister to demand NEET PG 2022 postponement
After the aspirants demanded postponement of NEET PG 2022 due to a clash of the exam date with NEET PG 2021 Counselling, the Madurai MP Su Venkatesan on Monday has also demanded the same.
The Madurai MP Su Venkatesan has now joined the demands of NEET PG 2022 aspirants to postpone the entrance examination.
He has written to the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya to demand the same. The letter pointed out that the Online Stray Vacancy Round for AIQ/Central and Deemed/PG DNB seats counselling is scheduled between March 11 and March 16, 2022, and hence the date clashes with that of NEET PG 2022 which is scheduled to be held on March 12.
"Inordinate delay in completion of 2021 counselling is no fault of the candidates. In this situation, the date for NEET PG 2022 has been announced and it is going to be held on March 12, which is even before the conclusion of NEET PG Counselling 2021," he said, as reported by TOI.
"I feel this is unfair and the said decision to conduct an examination before the end of counselling for the previous year is taken without application of mind. I would request you to intervene at the earliest and render justice by postponing the exams at least by one month," he added.
Earlier candidates were also demanding the same on social media platforms as due to unprecedented delay in NEET PG Counselling 2021, the dates are clashing.
NEET PG 2022 will be conducted by the National Board of Examinations at the designated centres across the country for admission to 19,953 MD (Doctor of Medicine) seats, 10,821 MS (Master of Surgery)seats, and 1,979 PG Diploma seats offered by various medical colleges in India.
The candidates must note that NEET PG 2022 scores are mandatory for admission to 2022-23 academic year of MD, MS and diploma courses and no other examinations will be valid for admission to these courses.
