Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia visited a government school in Jahangirpuri on Tuesday to inspect the teaching and hygiene conditions for the students. According to the official statement released by the department, the minister admonished an official for not ensuring adequate hygiene in the premises. Sisodia, who holds the Education Portfolio, visited Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in D- Block, Jahangirpuri.
Talking about the two new curricula announced by the government for government schools, the Happiness Curriculum and the Deshbhakti Curriculum, the minister spoke to the students about academic activities and their experiences of studying new curricula. He also reviewed the progress of the reading campaign at the school.

Delhi Government Business Blaster Program
The Delhi government introduced the Business Blasters Program, a TV show last year to attract people to invest in the business ideas of Class 11 and 12 students. Under this initiative, government school students are given seed money of INR 2,000 each to work on their business ideas. The government has revealed that seed money has been given to nearly three lakh government school students so far. These students will be coming up with nearly 51,000 business ideas.
Delhi Budget 2022: Highest Allocation for Education
The government of Delhi has allocated a budget of INR 16,278 crore for the education sector. Education Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday announced the budget, a part of which will go to building boarding schools for homeless children and a Science Museum in a city school. The minister made the announcement while presenting the Delhi budget for 2022-23.
