FTII JET Exam 2023 will be conducted on March 18 and 19, 2023 in the offline mode. Candidates must reach the exam center on the given time along with the admit card and identity proof. Here some FTII JET exam day instructions one needs to know before appearing for the exam.

FTII JET Exam day guidelines
Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) will be conducting FTII JET 2022-23 exam in offline mode. The admit cards have been released. Candidates can download the admit cards from https://applyadmission.net/jet2022_23/, as this is a mandatory document that a registered student must produce at the time of FTII JET exam. Aspirants are informed that the admit cards are issued to only those candidates who have duly filled and submitted their application form for courses offered at FTII and SRFTI. The FTII JET exam will be conducted on March 18 and 19, 2023. On the day of examination, candidates have to keep some things in mind.  

FTII JET 2022-23 Exam Day: Requirements

  • FTII JET 2022-23 is going to be an offline exam.
  • Candidates need to download the admit card 
  • For this examination, candidates are required to reach at least one hour before the exam time at the centre.
  • Along with the FTII JET admit card, candidates have to carry valid identity proof to the exam centre such as Aadhar Card or Voter ID or Driving License.
  • Candidates should carry the required stationary items for the exam.
  • No electronic items, mobile, calculators etc are allowed in the exam hall.
  • There is negative marking for the incorrect answer. Hence candidates should answer the questions carefully.

Do not take help from others

Practice previous years' question papers to get an idea about the exam pattern.

Do not carry any electronic devices in the examination hall

Invigilators will instruct the guidelines about how to give the exam.

Do not read out anything loudly

Ensure you have the hard copy of admit card and a valid photo id proof. 

Do not leave the centre before the exam is over.

Exam Pattern of FTII JET

Explained below is the exam pattern of FTII JET exam:

Paper I Part – A (Common to all specialisations) Multiple Choice Questions

Art & craft of Film &TV, Allied Arts, Literature, General Awareness, Environmental Awareness, General Knowledge related to Art & Culture and Media etc.

20 questions x 1 mark each

(Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark whereas each wrong answer will be awarded – 0.25 marks)

 Paper I Part – B (Respective specialisations) Multiple Select Questions

Subject Specific questions (Each question may have one or more than one correct answer/s)

15 questions x 2 mark each

Note : (a) Each question will have FOUR options. ONE OR MORE THAN ONE of these four option(s) will be correct option(s).
(b) For each question, candidate will choose the option(s) corresponding to (all) the correct answer(s)
(c) Answer to each question will be evaluated according to the following scheme;
(i) Full Marks: 2 if only (all) the correct option(s) is
(ii) Partial Marks: 1.5 if all the four options are correct but ONLY three correct options are chosen.
(iii) Partial Marks: 1 If three or more options are correct but ONLY two options are chosen, both of which are correct.
(iv) Partial Marks: 0.5 If two or more options are correct but ONLY one option is chosen and it is correct option.
(v) Zero Marks: 0 if none of the option is chosen (i.e the question is unanswered).
(vi) Negative Marks: – 0.25 in all other cases

Paper – II (Respective specialisation) Specific Area Aptitude Test

This section is designed to test the ability and aptitude of a candidate in the specific field of cinematic expression.

(Maximum 4 questions to be answered)

Long descriptive question (Compulsory) 1 question x 20 marks 20 Marks
Descriptive questions (including sketches photographs etc.), Short note question. (This may include sub questions.) Maximum 3 out of maximum 6 questions to be answered 30 Marks
Total (Paper – I Paper – II) 100 Marks

Note: Question and Answer booklet of Paper I will be distributed to the candidates 10 minutes before the scheduled time of the examination and will be collected back 90 minutes after the commencement of examination.
In the case of Paper II, the Question and Answer booklet will be distributed to the candidates, only after 80 minutes of commencement of examination and will be collected immediately after 180 minutes of the commencement of examination.
