Start solving the FTII JET question papers only after you have completed the FTII JET syllabus. If you haven't done that, solving FTII JET question papers will be of no use to you as you won't be able to solve the questions correctly. Thus, first complete the syllabus, ensure you are thorough with all the topics and then move to solving the sample paper. Ideal time to start solving them is two months before the exam. Also, do solve the sample papers to know the latest pattern of the questions asked in the exam.

The steps for evaluation to shortlist candidates for the courses offered by FTII and SRFTI is given below:

Step 1: Written Test [(Paper-I & Paper- II)

Step 2: On the basis of the performance in Paper-I, Paper-II of only selected nos. of top scoring candidates (based on the respective category) will be evaluated, as per the ratio mentioned in evaluation process. Roll numbers of the candidates shortlisted for evaluation of Paper-II, will be published on the website of JET2022-23.

Step 3: On the basis of the performance in Paper-I Paper- II, Candidates will be further shortlisted for Audition (only for Screen Acting), Orientation and Interview for all other courses except Screen Acting.

Step 4: (For all other courses except Screen Acting) On the basis of the performance in Written Test (Paper-I & Paper-II) Orientation Interview, final joint merit list of FTII & SRFTI will be published. (For Screen Acting) On the basis of the performance in Written Test (Paper-I & PaperII) Audition, Result-1 will be prepared. Further, on the basis of orientation and Interview, Result -2 will be prepared. Final selection will be on the basis of Result-1 and Result-2, each containing 50% weightage.

Step 5: After publishing joint merit lists, preferences will be obtained from the shortlisted candidates. Based on the preference(s) and merit, candidates will be selected to a particular course in FTII & SRFTI. This counselling may be carried-out offline in Pune/Mumbai/ Kolkata OR online OR through system software etc. Necessary information in this regard will be published on FTII, SRFTI and JET 2022-23 websites. 

Steps to check results for FTII JET 2022-23 are as follows:

Step 1: Candidate will have to visit the official website of the FTII JET 2023 entrance exam.

Step 2: Once the candidate is on the official website, aspirants will see a ‘result’ link present on the page.

Step 3: On clicking the ‘result’ link page, the candidate will have to enter the following details:

• Application number
• Date of birth
• Roll number

Step 4: Once the details are filled, the candidate will next have to click on the submit button, which will redirect the candidate to the rank and scores list.

Step 5: The candidate can then download the FTII Jet 2021 result and take a printout.

Candidates should keep the following points while appearing for FTII JET:

• Candidates are advised to reach the FTII JET exam centre well on time.
• At the exam centre, no electronic devices such as mobile phones, electric watches, earphones, headphones will be allowed at the exam centre. 
• The exam centre will not allow candidates to appear for the Joint Entrance Test who arrive late.
• If any candidate is found using any means to cheat during FTII JET, the answer sheet will be taken away from the student. 
• Along with the FTII JET admit card, candidates are also advised to carry valid identity proof.
• If there is any confusion regarding the allotted exam centre, candidates are advised to contact the institute officials immediately.

No request in this matter will be entertained. However, the institutes reserve the right to change or cancel any test centre/ city and/or change the test time and date at its own discretion

No change in the category will be entertained after JET2022-23 registration. Hence, the candidates are required to give due care while registering. SC, ST, OBC-NCL, Gen-EWS and PwD candidates must upload a copy of their SC / ST/ OBC – NCL/ Gen.-EWS/ PwD certificates in the prescribed form at the time of registration / applying.

Candidates who are selected for the courses will be required to undergo Medical Test as per the selection criteria of both institutes. Procedure of the Medical Test shall be communicated to the selected candidates by the respective institutes. Candidature of a selected candidate can be cancelled on the basis of the outcome of Medical Test. Decision of respective institutes in this regard would be final & binding on all concerned.

Based on the score of the candidates in Written Test, candidates will be shortlisted for the further stages of the selection process including Audition (for Screen Acting), Orientation and Interview. Thereafter, on successful accomplishment of all the requisites, candidates will be enrolled in their full time regular programmes.

A candidate can apply maximum one course from Group A, one course from Group B, and one course from Group C. 

Candidates must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a mobile phone number throughout the selection process and should simultaneously track the JET website and website of participating institutes for updates. The participating institutes will not be responsible for any non-receipt of intimation to a candidate.

Candidates should keep the following points while appearing for FTII JET:

• Along with the FTII JET admit card, candidates have to carry valid identity proof to the exam centre such as Aadhar Card or Voter ID or Driving License.
• The candidate must reach the exam centre at least one hour before the scheduled time.
• Once the exam is conducted, candidates are advised to keep the FTII JET admit card as it will be required during counselling.

Performance in JET 2022-23 Written Test is an important component for consideration in the selection process. On the basis of performance in Written Test, the list of candidates shortlisted for the next level of selection will be made available on the website of both the institutes.

The results of the exam will be declared in online mode on the JET website - https://applyadmission.net/jet2022_23/ in the first week of June 2023 tentatively. Selected candidates can check the results on the official website.

After downloading the admit card for FTII JET entrance exam, aspirants need to take a clear print of their FTII JET admit card and place their latest passport-sized coloured photograph at the required place, otherwise they will not be allowed to take the test.

While preparing for FTII JET, it is important for candidates to have a plan in mind. This is how candidates should plan their FTII JET exam preparation: 

• Have a proper preparation strategy in place
• Know exam pattern thoroughly and go through sample papers and syllabus for FTII JET.
• Pick the best text books to prepare.
• The aim should be to score well in entrance exam
• Focus on your time management skills and improving speed of answering questions based on English and General Knowkedge.
• Solve as many sample papers and previous years' question papers as possible to know your strong and weak areas for the exam.

• Allied Arts: Knowledge about Fine Arts and its related discipline like visual and performing arts.

• Literature: Knowledge about written work like novels, books, authors, autobiographies etc.

• General Knowledge related to Art & Culture and Media: General awareness of Art, Craft, Culture, Design and Media in Indian as well as in Global context. Various topics and sub-topics related to people, material, tools, techniques, issues & concerns, influences, period, and contemporary trends.

In each course, 15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 27% for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “Non-Creamy” layer (OBC-NCL), and 10% for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) as Gen-EWS. Further, 5% of total seats are reserved on horizontal basis for Persons with benchmark Disabilities.

In this paper, questions will be asked based on sketches, photographs etc. Besides this, short note questions will also be asked which may include subject related questions. Candidates are required to prepare topics based on the subjects they are applying.

Paper-I of all the eligible appeared candidates will be evaluated. Based on the evaluation of Paper-I, Paper-II of Written Test will be evaluated of only selected number of top scoring candidates (based on the respective category) using the following ratio against each seat:

1. For all the courses except FTII’s Screen Acting course:
i) Unreserved, OBC-NCL and Gen-EWS: 1:15 (One seat:15 answer-sheets)
ii) SC, ST, Gen-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD & Gen-EWS-PwD: 1:25 (One seat:25 answer-sheets)
iii) SC-PwD and ST-PwD: 1:35 (One seat:35 answer-sheets)

2. For FTII’s Screen Acting Course*
i) Unreserved, OBC-NCL and Gen-EWS: 1:45 (One seat:45 answer-sheets)
ii) SC, ST, Gen-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD & Gen-EWS-PwD: 1:75 (One seat:75 answer-sheets)
iii) SC-PwD and ST-PwD: 1:105 (One seat:105 answer-sheets)

The Written Test will be of 3 hours for 100 marks, as per details below.

FTII JET syllabus includes topics like: Art & craft of Film & TV, Allied Arts, Literature, General Awareness, Environmental Awareness, General Knowledge related to Art & Culture and Media etc for Part A of Paper I. In Part B of Paper I subject specific questions are asked.

Along with the FTII JET admit card, candidates will have to carry valid identity proof to the exam centre such as Aadhar Card or Voter ID or Driving License. Based on the performance of Written Test of JET 2022-23 (Stage 1) and Audition (Stage 2), 'Result 1' will be prepared with each stage carrying 50% weightage. Qualified candidates (as per Result 1) will appear for Orientation and Interview. 'Result2' will be prepared on the basis of Orientation and Interview. Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of 'Result-1' and 'Result-2', each carrying 50% weightage subject to qualifying in the Medical Test.

The final merit list is prepared on the basis of Written Test, Orientation and Interview of JET 2022-23 with each stage carrying 20%, 50% (20% practical 30% written) and 30% weightage respectively, subject to qualifying Medical Test.

The Final joint merit list will be prepared on the basis of Written Test (FTII JET), Joint Orientation and Joint Interview of JET 2022-23 with each stage carrying 20%, 50% (20% practical 30% written) and 30% weightage respectively, subject to qualifying Medical Test. JET 2022-23 is scheduled to be conducted in centres spread across 28 cities. These test cities are Agartala, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Leh (Ladakh), Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram and Port-Blair. The institutes reserve the right to change or cancel any test centre/ city and/or change the test time and date at its own discretion

Candidates' JET 2022-23 score card will be made accessible on the JET website. JET 2022-23 score is valid only till December 31, 2023 and will accordingly be accessible on the website. Thereafter, no queries (online/offline) related to issuance of JET 2022-23 score cards will be entertained.
