The total number of applicants this year were over 3.28 lakh. As per the official data, the exam recorded 88% attendance.
The CAT 2023 was conducted at 375 test centers spread across 167 cities in India. Every test centre hosted CAT aspirants in three shifts. There were no reports of mismanagement from any exam centre on the exam day. The CAT 2023 question paper was tougher than last year and this year, the cut offs are expected to go lower. Section wise, CAT VARC and DILR were easy and Quantitative Aptitude was tough.
Last year, over 86 per cent candidates fo the total applicant had appeared for the exam. The attendance for CAT 2022 was recorded at over 2.22 lakh candidates. The total number of candidates registered for CAT 2022 was 2.56 lakh.
Now, all eyes are on the release of CAT 2023 answer key, which will help candidates in getting to know their performance and estimated scores. The CAT answer key 2023 is expected to be released by the end of this week. The link to challenge the official answer key will be activated the same day.
CAT 2023 result can be expected to be released by the third week of December, even though the official schedule mentions result announcement in the second week of January 2024. IIM Shortlisting will begin in the first week of January 2024, with the institutes announcing the PI shortlist cut off and criteria.
