CAT 2023 exam will be conducted at 400 test centres across India. Candidates appearing for the exam will have to follow certain guidelines for smooth passage of the exam day. Shared below are the key guidelines to be followed on the CAT exam day 2023.
CAT 2023 exam will be conducted on November 26, 2023 at over 400 test centres in 154 cities across India. The exam will be conducted in three sessions. The first session will be held from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, the second session will be held from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and the third session will be held from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The exam timing, slot and exam centre location is mentioned in every candidate’s CAT 2023 admit card. There are also certain guidelines that are mentioned in the CAT admit card 2023, that candidates need to follow as per the process. Here we share the key CAT test centre guidelines that you should know in advance.

- Candidate must reach the centre as indicated against Reporting/ Entry time at CAT 2023 centre. The gates will be closed 15 minute before the commencement of the exam. Be there before that.

- Candidates must locate their respective CAT test centre and transport at least a day before the test so that they can report on time on the CAT 2023 exam day.
- Candidates must follow the identification process and present the documents required for gaining entry to the test centre.
- After identification, candidates must check their exam hall number/direction and head towards it.
- Once inside the test hall, locate their seat and sit their quietly until the test starts.
- Follow the instructions of the invigilator and not disturb other test takers.
- A writing pad and pen will be provided to the candidates for rough work. The rough work sheet is to be returned to the invigilator, with candidate’s name and application number written on it.
- Electronic items like mobile phones, electronic gadgets, watches, calculators, stationery items, papers, wallets, goggles, etc. will not be allowed inside the CAT test centre.
- No permission of entry will be given to candidates wearing jewellery or other items containing metal.
- Shoes/footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons are also not permitted for candidates.
- No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall and test centre, before the exam gets over.
