With only a week to go for the CAT 2023 exam, candidates should start planning the exam day strategy. By now, all the aspirants must have completed CAT syllabus, practiced CAT mock tests and worked on their problem areas. Now, they must focus on the final few things that will help them optimize their performance on November 26. First of all, check your CAT exam slot and take a mock test at that time. This will give you an experience of the exam before it. There are a few more things that you need to do at this juncture. Here are some CAT 2023 last week tips to get ready for the exam day.

Arrange documents: You must have already downloaded your CAT 2023 admit card. Go through the guidelines mentioned in it and make arrangements accordingly. Get two print outs of the CAT admit card, affix recent passport size photo on them, keep your original photo ID along with the admit card. If you need to present any other document or affidavit at the CAT test centre, get them attested. Check the exam timing and location of the test centre allotted to you and make arrangements of the reaching there on time on the CAT exam day.

Revise important topics every day: Exam preparation is not over until the last day. Yes, one should not keep the books aside thinking what more can I study. You cannot study a new topic a few days before the CAT exam, but you can definitely keep revising the important topics and formulae that you’ve mastered already.  

Take the official CAT mock test 2023: IIM Lucknow has released the official CAT mock test 2023. Every candidate must attempt it once. It is necessary to attempt the official mock test to know the CAT 2023 exam pattern, test structure and other details related to the online test form. You should attempt the official CAT mock test also to boost your confidence.

Leave the chapters you’ve not been able to study: One week it too less a time to start a new chapter. Leave what’s left behind, focus on the topics you’ve studied already and are confident of solving questions based on them. In CAT exam, attempting all questions is not mandatory. You can skip the question from topics you haven’t prepared.

Make a target: Pre-decide the number of questions, you will attempt in CAT 2023. Ensure that you have a target CAT percentile in mind and you solve as many questions accurately to achieve that. Usually, it s best to attempt at least 2/3rd of the total questions in all CAT sections. Given below is the sectional and overall score you need to achieve to get a certain percentile. Every question carries 3 marks for correct attempt. This table will help you in analyzing the number of question to attempt per section.
