CMAT 2025 dos and don'ts
CMAT exam 2025 will be held on January 25, 2025 for admission to over 1300 B-Schools in India. Over 70,000 aspirants are expected to appear for the exam which will be held in 2 shifts at various test centres in over 100 cities across India. NTA, the exam conducting body has released the CMAT admit card 2025 with exam day guidelines. Test takers must comply with the NTA guidelines on the CMAT 2025 exam day to avoid debarment or cancellation of candidature. CMAT 2025: Important Guidelines
- No Candidate would be allowed to enter the CMAT 2025 test centre, without admit card and undertaking, valid Government ID proof and proper frisking.
- No candidate will be allowed to enter the test centre after the gates have been closed.
- No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination room before the end of the shift.
- PwBD candidate (with disability of 40% or less) will be allowed extra time of 20 minutes per hour of the examination. Such candidate must provide valid document authorized by the Competent Authority as mentioned in CMAT 2025 Information Bulletin.
- Blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided in the exam hall. Candidates must write their name and Roll Number at the top of each of the sheet(s) and must drop the sheet/s in the drop box before leaving the test hall.
CMAT 2025: Dos and Don'ts
Here’s a list of dos and don’ts for the CMAT 2025 exam day. Candidates must steer clear of any action that may lead to their disqualification.
CMAT Dos
- Candidates should visit their CMAT test centre location a day in advance to avoid delay or any hassle on the exam day.
- Candidates must reach their test centre as per the reporting time mentioned in the CMAT 2025 admit card.
- Candidates must wait for instructions from Invigilator to start and end the test. They must remain seated until advised.
- If religion/customs require a candidate to wear specific attire, they must reach their test centre early for thorough checking and mandatory frisking.
- Before reaching the CMAT test centre, candidates must paste a passport size photograph, put a clear thumb impression at the field marked in the admit card.
CMAT Don’ts
- Candidates must not carry phone, watch or any kind of electronic items.
- Candidates must not carry any other personal belongings such as bags or books. There will be no provision of depositing belongings at the CMAT test centre.
- Candidates must not wear shoes/footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons.
- Candidates must not reach the test centre late and/or argue with the test centre staff
- Candidates must not cheat or indulge in unfair means to appear in CMAT 2025. It will lead to disqualification.

CMAT 2025 is scheduled to be held on January 25, 2025, almost four months ahead of previous years. The CMAT exam is usually held in March-April, but in 2023 and 2024, it was held in May. The last time CMAT was held in January was in the year 2019.
The NTA has announced registration dates via an official circular, which has been released online at the NTA website on November 14, 2024. The CMAT 2025 exam schedule includes registration window open and close dates and form correction dates. CMAT 2025 registration has started, and the last date to apply is December 13, 2024, and the admit card is expected to be released on January 20, 2025.
