IIFT Placement 2020: Highest annual package offered Rs 75 lakh

IIFT got the staggering highest offer of Rs 75 lakh per year (LPA), while the average package rose to Rs 20.48 LPA, the median increased to 18.2 LPA. The 2020 placement drive of IIFT saw a marginal increase in its average package despite a 14% increase in the batch size.

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) completed its final round of placement for the year 2020. The placement drive of the largest ever batch of IIFT made a record of hosting over 125 companies on campus. The Foreign Trade institute got the staggering highest offer of Rs 75 lakh per year (LPA), while the average package rose to Rs 20.48 LPA, the median increased to 18.2 LPA. The 2020 placement drive of IIFT saw a marginal increase in its average package despite a 14% increase in the batch size.

After the summer internships, both new and old top recruiters selected almost 28% of the total candidates and presented them Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs).

According to the data shared by the IIFT, the list of this year’s first-time recruiters include RBL Bank, Tech Mahindra, BOD Consulting, Ninjakart, Tata International, Boston Scientific, Star Global, Western Digital, Media.net, Axis Bank, McKinsey & Company, Reckitt Benckiser, BEML, Virtusa,  Polestar Solutions, HMS Bergbau AG, Newgen Software, IGT Solutions, Gemini Solutions, Cremica, and Merilytics. Federal Bank and HDFC Bank among the first-time recruiters in the BFSI sector.  

Top recruiters that continued to show their faith in IIFT’s talent are JP Morgan & Chase, D.E. Shaw, Yes Bank, Citibank, HSBC Global Banking and Markets, L&T, Goldman Sachs, EpikInDifi, Indus Valley Partners, and Samunnati Finance.

Strategy and Consulting companies that participated in IIFT 2020 placement drive are Cognizant Business Consulting, Michael Page, McKinsey & Company, Roland Berger, Bain & Company, and Infosys Management Consulting.

Axis Bank, Airtel, Mahindra, ICICI Bank, Flipkart and Reliance Industries offered prestigious Management Trainee Roles in the General Management Domain to the IIFT talent. The Logistics domain saw first-time associations with Delhivery and QuickRide.

IIFT 2020 batch received job offers from Tata Sky, Tata Consultancy Service, TVS, Raam Group, Amazon, Western Digital, Tata Global Beverages Limited, Philips, Dabur, ITC, L'Oreal, Bajaj Auto, Shell, Pidilite, Flipkart, Signify, Tata Steel, Aditya Birla Fashion Retail Limited, Maruti Suzuki, Hero MotoCorp, HT Media, L&T, Raymond, Games 24x7, Google, Cremica, Dell, EpikIndifi, and Hero Electronix in the Sales and Marketing domain. 

Many students from the IIFT 2018-20 batch received job offers from prestigious recruiters like ETG, Olam, Tolaram, Apical Group, Archer Daniels Midland, TATA International, Louis Dreyfus, Enhance Group, and Trafigura for coveted roles in overseas locations.

The official statement released by the institute also revealed that IIFT continued its association with industry giants like Go MMT, Genpact, Ofbusiness, Microsoft, EpikIndifi, Media.net, Axtria, Hexaware, Tech Mahindra, Zestmoney, Wipro, HCL, Polestar, IBM, Capgemini, and Cognizant Business Consulting, for the IT, Product Management and Business Development roles.

The institute received offers for core supply chain and operations roles from top companies like Maersk Line, Tata Steel, Genpact, Vikram Solar, Ninjakart, and Shell.

IIFT, Head of Corporate Relations and Placement Division, Dr Rohit Mehtani stated that the largest ever batch of the IIFT has received one of the best job offers from the top recruiters of various domains. The success behind this placement drive is a testament to the rigorous academic involvement and professional exposure that students receive in IIFT.
