IIM Kozhikode receives 7th Batch of Executive Programme at Kochi campus

IIM Kozhikode held the induction ceremony for the 7th batch of Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) in Management, Kochi Campus, for the year 2019 - 2021 for working executives. The ceremony was conducted at Athulya Auditorium, Infopark Kakkanad. The batch strength of this year’s EPGP is 85 having representation from varied verticals. 35 per cent of the total participants are from IT and related industries, 6 per cent are from Operations and Service Industries and 2.4 per cent are from Banking and Finance industries. The Kochi campus of IIM Kozhikode was established in the year 2013 and the then Chief Minister of Kerala inaugurated the campus.

The main organisations represented by the participants are Tata Motors Limited, Bajaj Auto Ltd, Pfizer Ltd, HCL Technologies, Alstom Transport Ltd, Ernst & Young, KPMG, UST Global, Cognizant, Amazon, Tata Consultancy Services, Axis Bank Ltd, Infosys, ABB, and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. 

Before this, the Induction ceremony began with an introduction to the EPGP by Prof. Priya Nair Rajeev, Chairperson (EPGP). She highlighted the importance of lifelong learning by integrating management concepts with applications. Professor Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIMK, stated on the occasion that the institute fascinates the brightest of national talent to learn the syntax of success, the grammar of achievement and the mysteries of management. Prof C Raju, Dean (Extension Programmes), who was also a member of the launch committee for Kochi campus, emphasised on the improvements in the programme over the years and advised the participants to utilise the maximum campus facilities effectively.
