IIM Kozhikode welcomes 17th Batch of Executive Post Graduate Programme

This year, the IIM Kozhikode Executive Post Graduate Programme registered a total of 548 students, marking the fifth consecutive year with over 500 enrollments.

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) has officially welcomed the 17th batch of its Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP). This year, the programme registered a total of 548 students, marking the fifth consecutive year with over 500 enrollments. The programme continues to attract professionals from a wide range of industries, showcasing its growing global relevance and appeal.

Record-Breaking Gender Diversity in the EPGP Cohort

This year’s batch also reflects a significant leap in gender diversity. For the first time, IIM Kozhikode has achieved 26% female participation, the highest ever in the history of the EPGP. This marks a noteworthy step toward greater inclusivity and gender balance within the institute’s executive education programs.

Diverse Representation Across Industries and Age Groups

The 17th batch of the EPGP represents participants from over 150 organizations spanning industries such as IT/software, public sector, energy, aerospace, education, consulting, manufacturing, automotive, accounting, banking, and insurance. Over 50% of the participants fall within the age group of 30-39, highlighting the programme's appeal to mid-career professionals seeking to enhance their leadership skills and business acumen.

Additionally, around 30% of the participants bring 6-9 years of work experience, contributing to a cohort with an average of nearly 10 years of professional experience.

Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode, expressed his enthusiasm for the diverse and experienced cohort, stating, “This tremendous response to IIMK’s Executive Programme is a shining testimony to the Institute’s strength, growth, and the global relevance of this programme. Our unique academic space at IIM Kozhikode is designed to create aspirations, because aspirations are what drives business and drives a nation.”
