IIM Mumbai, formerly known as NITIE, has launched a two-year Executive MBA programme. This program, in collaboration with Jaro Education, is designed to equip professionals with the skills needed to excel in the ever-evolving global economy. By blending academic rigor with real-world insights, Indian Institute of Management Mumbai aims to nurture the next generation of leaders capable of tackling the challenges of a dynamic business environment.
Hybrid Learning Model for Flexibility
One of the standout features of this Executive MBA programme is its hybrid learning model. Combining online sessions with in-person engagement, it offers a flexible learning experience for working professionals. This innovative approach allows students to continue their careers while pursuing their academic goals, ensuring that they don’t have to compromise one for the other. The program provides an ideal balance between academic excellence and practical application.
Curriculum and Course Structure
The Executive MBA programme is structured around eight modules, comprising 31 courses in total, including 16 core courses and 15 electives. A capstone project and group assignments further enrich the learning experience. Students will also participate in case studies, interactive seminars, and collaborative discussions aimed at enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Periodic on-campus sessions will facilitate peer learning, providing opportunities for networking and collaborative problem-solving.
Program Fees and Financial Flexibility
The fee for the Executive MBA programme is Rs 15 lakh, inclusive of taxes. To ensure financial convenience, students have access to education loan options from leading banks. Customisable payment plans, including yearly or module-based options, offer further flexibility for students.
Eligibility Criteria and Application Process
This programme is open to executives, middle managers, and professionals with a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of relevant work experience. Candidates must also have taken one of the following exams: CAT, GMAT, or GRE, within the last five years. Additionally, applicants must clear the IIM Mumbai Admission Test (IMAT), based on the CAT exam pattern. IMAT is scheduled for December 22, 2024, with the application process closing on December 20, 2024. The programme will begin on January 10, 2025.

Earlier, there was no IIM in Mumbai. But now NITIE Mumbai has been renamed to IIM Mumbai. The institute has been ranked 7 under ‘Management’ category by the NIRF in 2023. NITIE has always been at par with IIMs when it comes to Management category rankings. As per the report by Hindustan Times "As per the gazette published by the Ministry of Law and Justice, NITIE will continue to function until a new board is constituted for IIM under this act. After the constitution of a new board under this act, the old board will dissolve."
