In collaboration with ADHS, IIM Raipur has established the Centre for Health, Innovation, Policy & Digital Health, aiming to position India as a global leader in digital health through capacity building, innovation, and policy development.
Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM-Raipur) hosted the Graduation Ceremony of the first cohort of Post-Graduate Certified Digital Health Professionals (CDHP). This pioneering program was co-offered with the Academy of Digital Health Sciences (ADHS)
Collaborative Initiative and Vision
In collaboration with ADHS, IIM Raipur has established the Centre for Health, Innovation, Policy & Digital Health, aiming to position India as a global leader in digital health through capacity building, innovation, and policy development. The program attracted 41 graduates, comprising 12 females and 29 males, with diverse backgrounds in healthcare, including senior doctors, surgeons, dentists, physiotherapists, nurses, professionals from pharmaceuticals, med-tech, and digital health sectors, as well as government officials and academicians. These professionals bring an average work experience of 20 years to the table.
Educational Approach and Global Impact
The program’s curriculum incorporates a global perspective, featuring collaborations with renowned leaders and practitioners in digital health. Live interactions with global experts enrich the learning experience, ensuring that participants are equipped not only with knowledge but also inspired to lead on the global stage. The online delivery format facilitates participation from professionals worldwide, fostering a diverse and interactive learning environment.
Ceremony Highlights and Distinguished Guests
The chief guest for the ceremony was Dr Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, Drugs Controller General (India), who emphasized the importance of integrating digital technologies with medical science to serve all segments of society, especially rural India. Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur, extended a warm welcome to the graduating students, while Dr. Rajendra Pratap Gupta, Founder of ADHS, congratulated the students and faculty on their achievement.
Dr Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur, articulated the program’s vision, stating, “Our aim is to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills essential for digital health leadership. We aspire to create global leaders who will drive the digital transformation of healthcare, making it more transparent, accountable, and affordable.”
Dr Rajendra Pratap Gupta, founder of ADHS, highlighted the significance of the program in creating India’s first batch of Certified Digital Health Professionals. He remarked, “This program, offered globally online, is a testament to our commitment to lead the digital transformation of healthcare. It equips graduates to innovate and shape the future of healthcare delivery.”
The Program Directors, Dr Sanjeev Prashar, Dr Jighyasu Gaur, Dr Sandeep S, and Mevish Vaishnav, congratulated all graduating students, emphasizing their potential to lead and innovate in the evolving landscape of digital health.
The graduation ceremony not only celebrated academic achievement but also underscored the program’s role in preparing leaders who will drive digital advancements in healthcare, both in India and globally. This collaboration between IIM Raipur and ADHS reaffirms their commitment to advancing digital health education and empowering professionals to address the challenges of tomorrow’s healthcare industry.
