IIM Raipur Online MBA Degree Programme: Know Eligibility, Fees and Dates

IIM Raipur is the first IIM to launch an online MBA programme in which the candidates will be awarded degree without attending classes.

IIM Raipur launched a two-year online MBA programme for entrepreneurs and working professionals in 2020. This is the first-ever online MBA programme by IIM in which the students have to attend two campus visits of five days each along with online classes and will be awarded degrees upon completion. The Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (ePGP) is administered in collaboration with Nulearn.

"The managers and working professionals of well-known companies are doing a one-year diploma from our institute, but they are so busy that it is a problem to come to the institute for two days a week on Saturdays and Sundays. The demand for online education increased in lockdown, so the idea came why not to start a two-year online degree course. We have also taken many feedbacks, the response was good and decided that they will start from this session," Dainik Bhaskar quoted Dr Bharat Bhaskar, Director, IIM Raipur as saying at the time of its launch last year. Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

The candidate must adhere to the following eligibility requirements

• Minimum of two years of managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience
• Bachelor's level or equivalent with minimum 50 per cent aggregate overall at degree level.

Admissions to the ePGP at IIM Raipur would be offered based on the academic attainments, work experience, and performance in a personal interview by the candidate. Candidates will not require a CAT exam score for admission to the ePGP programme.

Class Schedule & Programme Structure

The first batch of this programme had 90 students. The online classes are held three days a week on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday with a live and interactive approach. The current faculty of IIM Raipur conducts the classes. On weekends, the classes will be held for nine hours and on a weekday 3-hour class is administered.

The course structure designed by IIM Raipur shall be as follows.

• 450 hours of core courses
• 150 hours of elective course
• 300 hours of advanced core courses
• Integrated business simulation project focusing on the application of managerial concepts in a real-life setting
• Mini dissertation to be carried out under the supervision of a faculty member

Fees for IIM Raipur ePGP

IIM Raipur has designed the fee structure within six terms. A total of Rs 9.7 lakh is to be paid by the student for the course. This includes a refundable caution deposit of Rs 20,000. IIM Raipur is also inviting applications from international candidates. Foreign nationals have to pay USD 15,000 for the course.
