KEA will conduct Karnataka PGCET and DCET exams online in CBT mode starting the current session. Check complete details here.
Karnataka Examinations Authority will be conducting Karnataka PGCET 2024 in an online mode as a computer-based test from centres. S Ramya, Executive Director, KEA, confirmed the transition of OMR based PGCET exam to online CBT exam. With the change of the Karnataka PGCET exam mode, no other changes were notified by the authority. KEA conducts the PGCET exam for admission to PG professional courses in Karnataka, including MBA, MCA and MTech courses. Candidates who hold a bachelor's degree in relevant discipline are eligible to apply for Karnataka PGCET exam as per the schedule.

PGCET dates and transition to CBT mode will be mentioned in the Karnataka PGCET notification, to be released on the official website, kea.kar.nic.in. Karnataka PGCET 2024 notification is yet to be released by KEA. Nearly 45,000 candidates appear for Karnataka PGCET every year. Whereas the DCET exam attracts around 20,000 candidates for the admission test. The central office in Bengaluru and several district centres across Karnataka have the capacity to conduct the online exam for a maximum of 20,000 candidates simultaneously.
KEA may add more exam centres to conduct the online centre-based PGCET exam. KEA may also conduct the online Karnataka PGCET exam across different shifts. Complete details on Karnataka PGCET 2024 online exam is awaitedn until the notification is out. In addition to the information on the change of the exam mode, Ramya, also notified that the Karnataka PGCET 2024 and DCET 2024 will be conducted in May.
