Candidates are advocating for a 2 to 3-week delay in the NEET PG 2023 exam

Hundreds of NEET PG exam applicants have gathered at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi demanding NEET PG 2023 exam be postponed. NEET PG applicants and doctors from various associations including the All India Medical Association, and FAIMA are demanding the postponement of the postgraduate medical entrance test, by two to three weeks, which is scheduled for March 5.

The NEET PG 2023 exam is currently scheduled to be held on March 5, 2023. The National Board of Examination (NBE) has also finalised the registrations for the exam. The NEET-PG aspirants are demanding a two to three-week delay in the NEET PG 2023 exam. The candidates are requesting postponement to close the gap between the result announcement and the counselling procedure.

As per the calendar issued by NBE, the NEET PG 2023 results will be out around March 31, and the counselling process will start in July 2023.

Doctors and NEET-PG aspirants have converged at Jantar Mantar for a peaceful protest in order to have their demands addressed. The doctors have also submitted their demand to the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Mansukh Mandaviya and also to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting NEET PG 2023 exam postponement.

As per a request sent by the All India Medical Students Association to Dr Mandaviya regarding NEET PG 2023 training deferral and eligibility review. It is known that lots of potential PG aspirants are still in confusion and in a dilemma when it comes to NEET PG 2023 qualifications.

Every year thousands of medicos including doctors- apply for admission to various medical colleges, and institutes across the country.

Students have stated that these doctors also play a significant role in providing strength to existing health care systems, there will be around thousand potential eligible MBBS doctors who will not be able to write the life-deciding exam and will be back in their career for around one year which will be a huge loss to the existing resident doctors and work hours for them and their patients as well as an increase in patient load for all hospital in India

The protesting students are requesting the concerned authorities to consider their request and take action to postpone the examination by two to three weeks and determine the eligibility criteria for aspirants so that they are eligible to sit NEET-PG 2023.
