All India OBC Students Association thanks govt for the 27% quota in NEET
The OBC community thanked Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for approving 27 per cent of reservations in the medical entrance exam NEET.
On Monday, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan met All India Other Backward Class (OBC) Students Association members who thanked him for approving the 27 per cent reservation in the medical entrance exam National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
He assured the OBC students that the Modi Government is highly committed to increasing the educational opportunities for the vulnerable and marginalised sections of India.
Last month, the government had announced a 27 per cent quota for OBCs and a 10 per cent quota for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category in the All India Quota (AIQ) scheme for undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dental courses. These reservations will be implemented from the current academic year 2021-22.
