AMU: Final year MBBS student gets injured in firing

A final-year MBBS student got injured in a student group clash at Aligarh Muslim University's Maulana Azad Library on Wednesday evening.
The student is identified as Anika Roshan Khayal, a resident of Shamshad Market in Aligarh. She was shot in her leg and taken to a hospital for treatment.
SP (City) Mrigank Shekhar Pathak said that they got information from Aligarh Muslim University that in a clash between two students, a girl got injured. The miscreants who opened fire were not AMU students. The girl suffered a gunshot wound while passing through the location of the firing," as reported by Zee News India.
As per the SP (City), immediately the MBBS student was sent to the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College for treatment. Shortly after the incident, police arrested an accused from Suleman Hall. Other accused are absconding and the student who got injured is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
AMU: Research Methodology Course Begins
The Department of Social Work, in association with the Department of Psychology, Aligarh Muslim University, organized a 10-day Research Methodology Course at the UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, AMU, which is sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi.
