The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Assam has released the Assam NEET counselling 2024 Round 1 schedule. The registration process will commence on August 21, 2024, and the last date to submit the Assam NEET counselling 2024 Round 1 registration form is August 23, 2024, 11.59 PM.

Announcing the Assam NEET 2024 counselling process, DME Assam has stated, “All eligible candidates under General, PwD and Reserved category including SC/ ST/ OBC-MOBC (NCL)/ Moran/ Motak/ Tai Ahom/ Chutia/ Koch Rajbongshi/ TGL/Ex-TGL/ Char Area and Special category i.e. Freedom Fighters/ Martyr of Assam Movement/ Extremist violence/ ExServiceman & Serving Defence Personnel / Sports, shall have to register and fill choices in the online counselling. No offline counselling will be held separately for these seats.”

Document Verification for Special Quota Candidates

Candidates applying for Ex-Serviceman & Serving Defence Personnel, Freedom Fighters and Sports quota seats will have to appear physically for document verification on August 16, 2024 (11 AM) at the DME Assam office. Only those found to be eligible for these quotas can register for the Assam NEET counselling 2024 process through the aforementioned special quotas. “Candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC of creamy layer must apply under General category,” stated DME Assam.

The Assam NEET 2024 state merit list was released on August 7, 2024. A total of 24,580 candidates are included in the merit list. The highest score obtained by the Assam State topper is 710.
