BJP Joins Calls for NEET MDS 2024 Postponement Amid Eligibility Concerns
BJP Medical Cell in a letter to Mansukh Mandaviya Supports Postponement of NEET MDS 2024 Exam Amid Eligibility Uproar
Following appeals from student organizations such as AISU, NSO, and medical professionals' union FORDA, voices within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have joined the call for the postponement of the NEET MDS exam. Scheduled for March 18, 2024, the NEET MDS 2024 exam has faced criticism as over 8000 candidates risk missing the exam due to eligibility issues.
The BJP Medical Cell has sent a letter to Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, requesting the postponement of the NEET MDS 2024 exam and an extension of its eligibility criteria. Dr. Govind Bhatane, State Coordinator of BJP Medical Cell Maharashtra, highlighted the concerns of NEET MDS 2024 aspirants, stressing that many candidates are ineligible due to delayed internships caused by COVID-19.
Earlier, the National Medical Organization (NMO) had also written to Mansukh Mandaviya, emphasizing the urgency to address the concerns of aspiring dental professionals regarding the NEET MDS 2024 exam. The letter outlined several key issues, including ineligibility due to COVID-19 impact, Supreme Court's directive for parity with NEET PG exams, discrepancies in exam dates, and a high number of ineligible candidates.
The NMO expressed concerns about the lack of proficiency and empathy displayed by the Dental Council of India leadership and called for immediate action, including a change in leadership to adopt a more inclusive approach.
As the demand for exam postponement gains momentum, aspiring dental professionals across the nation await a response from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare regarding their plea for a fair and equitable resolution to the NEET MDS 2024 exam dilemma.
