FORDA to continue agitation demanding NEET PG Counseling dates, withdrawal of FIR
Union Health Minister has stated that NEET PG counselling will start soon
The Federation of Resident Doctor’s Association (FORDA) has announced to continue with their agitation despite assurance from the Health Minister that NEET counselling dates will be announced soon.
The association is demanding withdrawal of FIR against protesting doctors and announcement of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Post-Graduate counselling dates.
On Tuesday, Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya held a press conference after meeting the agitating doctors and stated that NEET PG counselling will start soon. Mandaviya stated that as the case is sub-judice in Supreme Court they are not able to start NEET counselling.
FORDA has stated: “Today was the 13th Day of the agitation called by FORDA to expedite NEET-PG Counselling 2021. Following a meeting with FORDA Representatives at Nirman Rhawan yesterday, Honourable Union Health Minister addressed the media in the concerned matter.”
It has been stated that an FIR was filed by Delhi Police officials against Resident Doctors after the brutal incident of violence against Doctors during the march towards the Supreme Court of India on December 27.
“Since our demands of expediting NE FT-PG Counselling & withdrawal of FIR have not been met by the concerned authorities yet, we have decided to continue the agitation,” the FORDA statement reads.
