While chairing a state-level programme organised to mark the birth anniversary of Dhanna Bhagat in the district's Dhanori village, Vice-President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar said "Our country is developing rapidly. Ram temple is being built. People once doubted its construction, but today it has turned into reality."

“Today, if we do not pay attention to the change in the country and do not contribute to it, the real motive behind the teachings of great men like Dhanna Bhagat would not be achieved,” he said, as reported by Tribune India.

He lauded the economic progress of India and said, “Today the country is witnessing something that was never imagined before…. India has become the fifth largest economy, surpassing the Britishers who had ruled us for 200 years, and farmers and workers have a major contribution to this. By the end of this decade…India will be the third largest economy on this planet.”

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar already announced that a medical college being built at Haibatpur village in Jind district is named after Dhanna Bhagat.

Recently, Haryana submitted a report to National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) regarding the disbursement of post-matric scholarships to the Scheduled Caste (SC) students. The report stated that DMER, in the last six months and till March 31, 2023, has disbursed about INR 15 crore to 5,232 students of the state.
