NEET 2024 registration and application process is scheduled to end on March 16, 2024. While the last date to fill and submit the NEET 2024 application form is March 16, 10.50 PM, the application fee has to be paid by 11.50 PM on the same date.
Originally, the last date to apply for NEET 2024 was March 9, 2024, which was extended by NTA. The exam conducting authority decided to extend the last date of the NEET 2024 form date as a response to student requests, who were facing technical difficulties while filling the form and Aadhaar verification, in case their mobile number was not linked to the Aadhaar Card.
However, NTA will not extend the last date of NEET 2024 application any further, since the application correction dates have been announced, which will start a couple of days after the conclusion of the application process.

NTA Advisory Regarding Finger and Thumb Impression Upload in NEET 2024 Application Form
NTA has laid down the following guidelines regarding finger and thumb impression upload on the NEET 2024 application form.
- The candidate should put Left and Right-hand Fingers and Thumb impressions as per the Template provided
- File size must be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
- Further, unclear Left and Right-hand fingers and thumb Impressions in Online Application Forms will also be rejected.

NTA Advisory Regarding Signature Upload in NEET 2024 Application Form
NTA has laid down the following guidelines regarding signature upload on the NEET 2024 application form.
- The candidate should put his full signature in running handwriting [not in the capital letter] on white paper with a Black Ink pen and scan it for uploading.
- File size must be between 4 kb to 30 kb.
- The unsigned Online Application Forms will be rejected.
- In case someone else’s signature has been uploaded, the candidature shall be cancelled and the case will be considered as an Unfair Means Case. Criminal action as per laws of the land shall also be initiated.

Documents Required for Non-Indian Candidates
Candidates who are NRI or OCI have to upload the following documents:
- A scanned copy of the first and last page of the Passport wherein the Citizenship /Nationality of the Candidate, as well as the date of issue, Validity Period, place of issue, and Issuing Authority of the Passport, are clearly mentioned.

NTA has stated regarding NEET 2024 application fee payment, "Candidates must note that mere deduction of fee from the bank account is not a proof of fee payment. The payment should be supported by an updated fee in the account of the candidate. The generation of confirmation page is the proof of successful submission of the NEET 2024 Application Form."

My session expired while filling the NEET application form. What to do?
If the NEET application form is left idle for 30 minutes after logging in, the session will expire. In case the session expires due to loss of internet connection, then the form will be saved till the last completed section. In case candidates were in the middle of a section and it was not saved, then they will have to restart it. Unless candidates fill the NEET form at the last moment, they should not worry about the session expiry. Hence, candidates are advised to fill the NEET 2024 application form well on time and not wait for the last moment to complete it.

NTA Advisory on Aadhaar Number for NEET 2024 Application Form
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an advisory for NEET 2024 candidates in terms of candidates' Aadhaar Numbers. NTA has stated, “If you have encountered Aadhaar authentication or Data issues during registration, please log in using your Application Number and Password (Aadhaar login is disabled). Re-verify your Aadhaar and correct any errors.”
NTA has also advised candidates to enter their own Aadhaar number while applying for NEET 2024. Otherwise, it may lead to the cancellation of the candidature. “Candidates are strongly advised to use only their own AADHAAR for registration process as it would be used at various stages during the NEET UG 2024 process,” states NTA.

Once the NEET 2024 information bulletin was released, it was seen that the tie-breaking criteria were revised. However, NTA has released a revised information bulletin, which states that the NEET 2024 tie-breaking criteria have been revised to that of last year. The tie-breaking criteria for NEET 2024 are given below.

NTA Advisory on Aadhaar Number for NEET 2024 Application Form
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an advisory for NEET 2024 candidates in terms of candidates' Aadhaar Numbers. NTA has stated, “If you have encountered Aadhaar authentication or Data issues during registration, please log in using your Application Number and Password (Aadhaar login is disabled). Re-verify your Aadhaar and correct any errors.”
NTA has also advised candidates to enter their own Aadhaar number while applying for NEET 2024. Otherwise, it may lead to the cancellation of the candidature. “Candidates are strongly advised to use only their own AADHAAR for the registration process as it would be used at various stages during the NEET UG 2024 process,” states NTA.

NEET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of NEET are given below.
Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India. Non-resident Indians (NRI) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are also eligible to appear for NEET if they wish to pursue MBBS or any other courses accepting NEET scores, from an institute in India.
Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will attain the same by December 31, 2024. Accordingly, the minimum date of birth of candidates should be December 31, 2007. There is no upper age limit for NEET.
Educational and Qualifying Marks Criteria: Candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects individually in the qualifying examination.
