The NEET 2024 application form fee submission ends at 11.50 PM. Candidates must note that deducting the amount from their account doesn't confirm payment unless NTA sends the payment confirmation. 

The following fields cannot be edited in the NEET application form once submitted:

• Mobile number
• Email address
• Candidate name (for Aadhaar-verified candidates)
• Date of birth
• Gender
• Permanent and present address

Even though NTA provides NEET application correction facility, candidates may not be able to edit each and every detail entered in the application form. The list of editable fields is given below:

• Candidate category and sub-category
• Choice of exam city and medium
• Qualification and passing year
• Parent's name (either father or mother's name can be changed)

The NEET 2024 application correction process will open on March 18 and the last date to edit or make changes and corrections in the NEET 2024 application form is March 20, 2024, 11.50 PM. 

Just one hour is left for the NEET 2024 application process to end. As per the schedule, the NEET 2024 registration and application process will end at 10.50 PM today. The application fee has to be paid by 11.50 PM. 

Some of the common mistakes to avoid while filling the NEET 2024 application form are as follows:

• Not reading the instructions carefully before filling the registration and application form.
• Not providing correct information in the NEET application form, which may lead to cancellation of candidature.
• Not uploading proper documents in the given format or dimension. Unless the documents are uploaded in proper format and dimension, the application process will not proceed.
• Not paying the application fee on time. Candidates often wait till the last moment to pay the NEET application fee and owing to technical glitches, they tend to miss the deadline, leading to an incomplete application. 

Candidates are advised to ensure the following points before submitting the NEET 2024 application form: 

• Whether they fulfil the NEET 2024 eligibility conditions for the Test 
• That they have selected their gender viz. Male/Female/Third Gender correctly. 
• That they have selected their category viz.General/General-EWS/OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST correctly. 
• That the Person with Benchmark Disability candidate has filled the relevant column in the Online Application Form correctly. Only PwBD candidates with Benchmark disabilities have to fill this column and the others have to leave it blank. 
• Whether they have kept a Printout of the Application Form (Confirmation Page) for their own record. 

NTA has laid down the following guidelines regarding finger and thumb impression upload on the NEET 2024 application form. 

• The candidate should put Left and Right-hand Fingers and Thumb impressions as per the Template provided
• File size must be between 10 kb to 200 kb. 
• Further, unclear Left and Right-hand fingers and thumb Impressions in Online Application Forms will also be rejected.

NTA has laid down the following guidelines regarding signature upload on the NEET 2024 application form. 

• The candidate should put his full signature in running handwriting [not in the capital letter] on white paper with a Black Ink pen and scan it for uploading.
• File size must be between 4 kb to 30 kb. 
• The unsigned Online Application Forms will be rejected.
• In case someone else’s signature has been uploaded, the candidature shall be cancelled and the case will be considered as an Unfair Means Case. Criminal action as per laws of the land shall also be initiated. 

Candidates who are NRI or OCI have to upload the following documents:

• A scanned copy of the first and last page of the Passport wherein the Citizenship /Nationality of the Candidate, as well as the date of issue, Validity Period, place of issue, and Issuing Authority of the Passport, are clearly mentioned.

Or

• Citizenship Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the Country of Nationality of the Candidate, wherein the Citizenship/Nationality of the Candidate, date of issue, Validity Period, place of issue, and Issuing Authority, are mentioned.

Or

Any other Document issued by a Government Authority in the Country of Nationality of the Candidate (including OCI Card issued by the MHA or concerned Indian Diplomatic Mission in case of OCT Candidate only), wherein the Citizenship /Nationality of the Candidate, date of issue, Validity Period, place of issue and Issuing Authority of the Document, are mentioned.

Apart from Indian Nationals, the following types of foreign nationals are eligible to apply and appear for NEET 2024:

• Foreign Nationals
• Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)
• Parents of Indian Origin (PIO)
• Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)

The last few hours are left for filling and submitting the NEET 2024 application form. Students and aspirants who are ye to complete the process must do the needful within the deadline as this is the last and final opportunity to register for the exam. 

NTA has stated regarding NEET 2024 application fee payment, "Candidates must note that mere deduction of fee from the bank account is not a proof of fee payment. The payment should be supported by an updated fee in the account of the candidate. The generation of confirmation page is the proof of successful submission of the NEET 2024 Application Form."

The Supreme Court of India has ruled that students from open schools recognised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and State Boards are now eligible to take the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Yes, the date for NEET 2024 registration and fee payment is the same, March 16, 2024. However, the timing is different. The registration process has to be completed by 10.50 PM and the fee has to be paid by 11.50 PM.

Advising students regarding the photograph, NTA states, "Candidates are advised to take 6-8 Passport size and 4-6 postcard size (4” X6”) coloured photographs with white background. The photographs are to be used for uploading on the Online Application Form, for examination, and also for Counselling/Admission. Once the NEET 2024 information bulletin was released, it was seen that the tie-breaking criteria were revised. However, NTA has released a revised information bulletin, which states that the NEET 2024 tie-breaking criteria have been revised to that of last year. The tie-breaking criteria for NEET 2024 are given below. 

a. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test, followed by,

b. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Chemistry in the Test, followed by,

c. Candidate obtaining higher marks/percentile score in Physics in the Test, followed by,

d. Candidate with less proportion of the number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the Test,

e. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test, followed by

f. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry  in the Test, followed by

g. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics in the Test.

As per the data received by NTA till May 9, approximately 25 lakh candidates have registered for NEET 2024, which is the highest number till date. It is expected that the total number of NEET 2024 applicants will be close to 30 lakh.

The table below brings the list of documents to be uploaded on the NEET 2024 application form along with the format in which it has to be uploaded. 

Candidates will have to upload their passport and postcard-size photographs on the NEET 2024 application form in the size and dimensions mentioned in the table below. 

The file format should be JPG or JPEG. 

Yes, ideally, both types of photographs, postcard size and passport size, should be the same. Ideally, candidates should take the photo once and edit the soft copies in two sizes and dimensions.

Applicants will have to upload two photographs in the NEET 2024 application form. These photographs are of passport size and postcard size. NTA has specified the dimensions of both these photographs and candidates must check and upload the images carefully. 

No, it is not mandatory to upload a coloured photograph in the NEET 2024 application form. As per the instruction by NTA, candidates will have to upload either a coloured photograph or a black and white photograph. Candidates must ensure that the photograph should be clear and the face should be visible for at least 80 per cent. Candidates should not be wearing caps/hats/sunglasses, scarves or mufflers while taking the photograph for the NEET application form. Moreover, it should not be older than three months.

The academic details to be entered in the NEET 2024 application form are as follows:

• Name of School Education Board
• Name of School /College
• Address of School/College
• Year of passing
• Percentage of marks obtained in Class 10
• Class 10 board roll number
• State where School/College is located
• District where School/College is located
• School Board of Class 12 or equivalent
• Qualifying Exam Code
• Year of passing/Appearing class 12 or equivalent
• Percentage of marks obtained in Class 10th if passed
• Roll Number of class 12

The details have to be entered separately for Class 10, 11 and 12.

In case a candidate's mobile number is not linked to his/her mobile number, then he/she has to go the the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra or login to the e-seva kendra of UIADAI to do the needful. However, this functionality takes approximately five to six days, hence candidates are advised to apply well in advance. 

Since there is a gap of a day between the last date of the NEET 2024 application (March 16) and the commencement of the application correction process (March 18), there is a ray of hope that NTA may extend the last date of application to March 17. However, this is just a speculation and there is no official confirmation on this information. 

While creating the NEET 2024 registration password, candidates should keep in mind the following factors:

• It should be at least eight characters
• It should have at least one capital letter
• It should have at least one special character

After the creation of the password, candidates must save it and preserve it for future reference.

While NTA has provided a list of NEET Helpline Numbers and email addresses, unfortunately, these are not as useful as expected. The NEET Helpline Numbers are not reachable most of the time, or all the executives are busy. Moreover, candidates' emails are not replied majority of the time. NTA is expected to be far more responsive and a better turnaround time towards candidates' concerns. 

Candidates can access their documents, such as, Confirmation page of the online NEET 2024 Application Form, Admit Card, OMR Answer Sheet, Score Card etc. anytime and anywhere from their respective DigiLocker. In case a candidate forgets his User ID or Password to access required information/data from the NEET UG Portal, he/ she can easily retrieve his/ her Application No. / Registered Mobile No. from his / her DigiLocker account and access the portal. Candidates may give their consent at the time of submission of the online NEET 2024 application form for the storage of their NEET (UG) Application Data and for the access of the same by themselves as well as NTA (as and when required for official purposes). 

The overall NEET application process can be divided into four to five broad steps, which are listed below:

• Filling up the NEET Registration 2024 form and generating the credentials
• Logging in with the NEET 2024 registration details such as username and password 
• Filling the NEET 2024 Application Form
• Document Upload

NTA will open the NEET 2024 application correction window on March 18, 2024. The last date of editing or making changes in the NEET 2024 application form is March 20, 2024, 11.50 PM.

Candidates have complained about the following problems while facing the NEET 2024 application process:

• Unable to login despite entering the correct password and security code
• OTP not received in mobile number
• Payment confirmation not received even after amount is debited.

Candidates who do not have an Aadhaar Card or their mobile number is not linked to their Aadhaar Number are unable to complete the NEET 2024 application process. 

While the basic eligibility criteria for NEET 2024 have remained the same, there have been revisions in certain aspects. Candidates who have studied, or studying Biology/Biotechnology as additional subjects along with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English, will also be eligible to appear for the exam. Moreover, candidates who have passed their Class 12 Board exam from Open Schools will now be eligible for NEET 2024. 

The eligibility criteria of NEET are given below.

Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India. Non-resident Indians (NRI) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are also eligible to appear for NEET if they wish to pursue MBBS or any other courses accepting NEET scores, from an institute in India.

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will attain the same by December 31, 2024. Accordingly, the minimum date of birth of candidates should be December 31, 2007. There is no upper age limit for NEET.

Educational and Qualifying Marks Criteria: Candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects individually in the qualifying examination. The qualifying aggregate for General, General-PWD and Reserved category candidates is 50 per cent, 45 per cent and 40 per cent respectively

In case candidates do not have internet access, or are not well-versed with the usage, they will have to visit the Common Services Centres (CSCs). There are more than 1.5 lakh Common Services Centres (CSC) across the country which will provide the desired support to candidates from urban as well as rural areas in online submission of NEET 2024 application form and payment of fee through e-wallet. 

Candidates will have to select any one of the modes to select the NEET 2024 application fee.

Once the registration process is completed, candidates will receive the confirmation, along with the username and password on their registered email address. 

The mode of the NEET 2024 application is completely online. Candidates will have to visit the NEET 2024 official website to complete the application process. Candidates are advised to complete the NEET application process 2024 on their personal computer, or at a trusted location, instead of a public computer such as a cyber cafe or school, to ensure their data security and privacy. 

Originally, the last date of the NEET 2024 registration and application form last date was March 9, 2024, 9 PM. This was exactly one month after the commencement of the NEET application process 2024. However, NTA released the notice announcing the extension of the application last date before the deadline.
